Didn't fit

The Annie bra is a balconette and similar in cut to my beloved 32K - Bravissimo » Penny Bra (LN449) .
Too bad the fit isn't as good on this one. The bra is very projected and has lots of room in the upper cup. Since I am FOT I did not size down in this bra like it was recommended on the website. Turns out this was a mistake. There was lots of wrinkling on top and on bottom of the cup. I could barely adjust my boobs properly in this bra.

I really like the colour and the star pattern and would have exchanged for the 32JJ if it weren't for the horrible stetchy thin flimsy straps.
These straps were just awful and folded immediately after putting the bra on. You could see on my photo. Also I found the straps a bit too seperate and too much in my armpit. The cups came up very high under my arms too. I am sure the dimensions of the 32JJ would be much better for me but I am sure I also dislike the straps.
The Penny does have thicker and better straps btw.

This bra is not owned any more

Oh it’s such a lovely pattern! Would sizing down take some stress off the straps, so they don’t fold? It always feels like a little heartbreak when such a pretty patterned bra doesn’t fit the way you want it to.

But the pattern is so pretty, thank you for the review!

There are a lot of complaints in the reviews on the Bravissimo page about the straps of this bra. There are like 6-7 at least in the first 5 pages. All are GG + mostly J - K cup. So I assume the straps might are less of an issue in much a smaller size - but I am nowhere near at such a small size. In the past the bras above GG had different thicker straps but with everyone complaining about thick straps they changed that which now makes the bra not so good in these sizes.

Bravissimo has just released a new bra named Delilah that appears to have the exact same straps and hardware. Perhaps the designer did not see the feedback on the Annie in time to take that into consideration. Otoh, maybe they sell twice as many bras below GG+ where the folding strap is not an issue and are not concerned enough about the straps on the larger cup sizes

Alana21 I thought about adding Delilah to my order but decided against it just because the straps looked so similar to the Annie straps! They are even the same colour, a colour which in my opinion doesn't match Delilahs pattern so well, a light blue would have been prettier imo.
I think they got the feed back, it's several review on Annie and also on Gemma now about the straps.
I wonder what their selling patterns are. Because the GG and below crowd can also buy elsewhere while in our size range we are quite limited. Maybe a good mix or both?

alisa , Delilah has a similar color profile as the Freya Offbeat duck egg and I suspect Freya sold a lot of those. I think it might take 2-3 months (or more) for a bra design to become a final product and so those reviews might have been too late. I may still give Delilah a try though. Or not.
