Didn't fit

My shape: slightly shallow teardrop/FOB with super wide/tall roots and very close-set tissue in the middle.

This review is for the nude colorway.

I bought this bra on Zulilly for a steal because after years of not knowing my shape (shallow, yes, but otherwise, Ionno), I decided to try it when it was recommended for me as potentially full-on-bottom. This is the first time I think I've been able to identify the different elements of fit for what they are, so here goes:

I am FOB, and this bra definitely is not. When trying it on, it fit great, with just a hint of pointy-boob (from the horizontal cup seam) that wasn't noticeable once I put on a shirt. After 3 hours of wear, though, the cup depth problem became glaringly obvious, because the underwires had migrated 3 whole inches down my ribcage in the bra's attempt to put the largest volume of the cup around the largest volume of my breasts. Adjusting (re-swooping and scooping, shortening straps, etc) did absolutely nothing. The top of the cup never did cut in to my super-tall root, even after the migration, which makes me think it might be a good style for a FOT lady.

As for the underwires, they encompass my breast tissue well enough, but I am positive now that they are just the wrong shape and too rounded for my super wide breast root. They are so circular that there is some empty space on the bottom-outsides, and they come up super high and poke me in the armpit, which is not a problem I have often.

The band felt like it was not very stretchy (like satin) and also like it was riding up, and indeed it appeared to be doing just that, although it never actually moved even when I wiggled and jumped around, so I suspect it is just the shape of the band. After a day's wear, the back continued to stay precisely in place in a position that felt just slightly too high.

Plungey plungey is lovely! It is one of the lowest I've found, and I love that for my super-close breast tissue. Sadly, the other fit problems mean I will likely be selling it soon, but good plunges are great to find!

The Zara reminds me of a pink satin plunge bra shaped and constructed like this I once owned in my pre-birth control boobs days that I adored and that fit super-flatteringly (although I do wonder now whether there were some fit issues I just didn't notice because I was shallow and so small - 30D). This one might be great for FOT or shallow-balanced, just not for me. :/

This bra is not owned any more
