Didn't fit

Joanna emailed me when I purchased this to be sure I wanted it as she warned it would not be supportive enough for breasts my size. It wasn't really surprising when she turned out to be right!

First, the pros:

This is a beautiful bra. I love the lace, the color, and the look of it, and it’s sewed and finished well. It also seems to mostly stay in my imf, so it’s got some projection at the wire. The gore is nice and low. It’s also comfortable, though that’s partially because of how stretchy the lace is, which brings me right to the not so good.

The cons:

The lace is so stretchy that the band stretched immediately to 48 inches and offered no support whatsoever. It also has uneven tension from the top to the bottom of the band (possibly in an attempt to make it suitable for a fat person?) and I don’t love the five hook closure as much as I thought I would. The front of the longline rolls immediately up due to my big round belly, though I sort of suspected that would happen.

The cup is very wide and the wires did not tack at all. I replaced the wires and shortened the band and now get a quite firm tack, but it just seems to be designed for boobs the opposite of mine - there’s wrinkling at the outer sides of the cup, and I almost but not quite fall out the middle of it.

It gives a very natural, slightly splayed appearance to my breasts. It has some support, but it does not hoist my breasts up or round them in any particular way, and they hang slightly over the wire. I’ve actually been wearing it around the house as a lounge and sleep bra, and it’s been pretty great for that. And as a center full lady, the almost but not quite falling out the center gives me some pretty great weekend cleavage!

Bottom line: Best suited for those with outer fullness, average to wide roots, who require low gores. Does not provide as much support as Comexim’s other offerings.

It is beautiful, and I am really surprised they didn't sew a backing onto the band like they did on my Vogue Purple.

I had the same thought. It seems like if they lined it with some black or beige mesh fabric it would help a lot.

  • It really looks lovely on you in a very natural way. I think I'd really like the black one if I could convince them to make it. I don't need huge amounts of support around the house. :)

  • Beautiful color on you! Thanks for your candid review.

  • Is the front of the longline band stretchy? That to me is Comexims biggest flaw with their longline design. Only the band part should be stretchy. The front of the band under the wires should be non stretch. A bra with a stretchy cradle will never have the cups anchored properly.

It's very pretty. As soon as I saw the pictures I was going to ask if it was comfortable enough to sleep in, and then saw in your reviews that it works for lounging and sleeping. Thanks for the review; I want one despite the potential fit issues. :)

  • Thanks everyone! Glad the pics and the review helped. For me, this definitely fits the bralette category - comfy and supportive enough i’d probably even wear it to the grocery store.

  • lcl0706 It is stretchy! Honestly i’m tempted to cut it right off... it’s a miracle it stayed put long enough to get a photo of it!
