Didn't fit

Very short-waisted, center full, close set, somewhat narrow, immediately projected, shallow apex projection,...

Gorgeous fabric! If you appreciate wildflowers, this fabric beautifully displays rudbeckia, echinacea, dahlias, and a chocolate Rosa rugosa. Among the peach, pink, brown, and ivory, there is a gentle sprinkling of red and blue (neither of those flowers I recognize). This is a stunning, sophisticated use of color!

Florencia uses a Watson Bra-like pattern and is not ideal for my center-full, close-set pair. Whether I make this bra pattern or any other manufacturer makes it, the pattern simply doesn't fit my center-full, close-set breasts. The gore seams sit on my breast tissue all along the gore and lower portion of the cup. My sensitive skin protests. I may be able to improve the fit with a gore alteration. The seam ripper, scissors, and sewing machine are ready to help. Otherwise, this is a dynamite pattern. It provides exceptional support in a comfortable and beautiful package.

The band stretches to just 29" and provides excellent support. Another model (Taylor) I ordered from Salem's Scissors stretched to 37". Florencia provides the support I hoped it would whereas Taylor may be better suited for more self-supporting breasts than mine.

The construction quality is excellent. And, the cups of my Florencia are lined with the softest fabric. Cup lining was an alteration I requested. And, Salem's Scissors graciously provided the lining alteration.

My experience with Salem's Scissors has been excellent. If you enjoy mixing fabric patterns and colors, you may enjoy the quirky and sophisticated combination of fabrics she offers. I know of no other place one can purchase a french fry bra. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> And, she has accommodated a short list of alterations.

Not every bra style fits the way I would like, but the designer is responsive, gracious, and flexible. Thankfully, I've found a gorgeous bralette I enjoy wearing.

I'm glad she worked with you to give you the bra you wanted! I bet it wouldn't be hard to make the frame flat rather than curved. I've also been experimenting with making bralettes and I think a flat frame might give you better support!

cupandahalf :-) I've sewn two of these with less curve at the gore, and still the gore remains a problem. "Flat frame" is my next sewing adventure ;-)
