A few notes from Rome
Jeesh, t_maia wasn't kidding when she said Italy was a bra waistland. What they sell here hurts my boobs, brains and eyes.
Realy, there are colors here that have never seen daylight, I think Stevie Wonder would do a better job choosing a color palette and designing prints.
This is the land of kitch. Bras glow in the dark here. I have seen sequence, crystals AND 3 inch long feathers on the same bra. And that one, might I add, cost 129 euro.
So, yeah, my eyes really hurt, but what their sizing system did to my delicate soul is pure violence.
People here seem to believe that if you need a bigger cup your ribcage must be bigger too. So you get sizes like 1,2,3,4 and very rarely 5. Where the higher the number, the bigger the band and cups will be.
Now I am not talking just cheap bras here, I'm takling 100 euro bras!!
What hurt my brain the most is this fancy department store where they carry la perla, la passionata, chantelle and the likes. They even adjusted the brands that offer variety of sizes to their stupid system, so the largest I could find in chantelle was 85D, which the "fitter" kindly explained was their size 5.
So fit yourself into that girls!
No unpadded cups here also. They didn't even carry rive gauche. If you want unpadded, you must want a minimizer, so they will kindly direct you to triumph.
And I thought Croatian women were clueless. At least they know band and cup are supposed to be a number and a letter.
The only positive experience was the la passionata brand, I was very impressed with their innovative aproach, great design and dreamy fabrics. They had one bra labeled as supersoft and the fabric was even more light and airy than spacerfoam! Highly reccommend to all who fit their range (winking at @Milk&Honey)

ha! Interesting that someone took the time to look at the site and decide :P too bad for nuns :S, they need it too.
Vee did you consider try to get fitted in any of those stores just for the kicks?
Bra sales look like Perú, they also do bras by band only cups are strating to show up, but greatly misunderstood. We do use inches based bands even though we use metric system.
Nooo I'm pmsing now and I can't vouch for myself, I'm affraid that just for kicks phrase might become too real :D
