Feb 27, 2013 - Brahopping for the millionth time! :D

So after work yesterday I went out and tried on bras. A lot of bras. I took notes after each one and eventually I'll add them all under "my bras" to add to the Bratabase though I haven't purchased any of these.

Fantasie: Kathryn Plunge Style no. FL2701 Color WINE.
34FF Band fits (a bit loose), but the cup is too small.
36FF Band is too big, yet the cup fits. Need 34, maybe even 32G. Underwire was very flexy when I tugged lightly at ends of the wire.

Freya: Piper Longline Style no. AA1233 color PASSIONFRUIT.
34FF Band is perfectly snug, but the cup is definitely too small. Try GG.*Edit: Found that Freya doesn't make these past G! Super sad. From what I see 36G would fit, though I'd probably have to make adjustments for the band. Totally worth it. Longline looks awesome. Firm underwire.

Elomi: Hermione Style no. EL8120 Color NAVY
34GG Band feels nice, but not perfectly snug for first wear. There was wrinkled fabric on the sides of both cups. Cups are too wide. Bigger boob does very slight quadboob. I don't like the shape it gives me; round, but not enough lift so it looks slope-y. Gore isn't pressed against sternum, but sits on some tissue in the middle (a problem I don't have with all bras). Might be good comfy bra if I didn't want to find my perfect fit today (as it feels very comfortable and secure). Very flexy underwire.

Panache: Tango II Full cup Style 3251 Color VIOLET
34GG Band feels nice, but not perfectly snug. Bra requires extra adjustment to ensure it doesn't sit too low, so I'm afraid it might slide during the day. The wires poke into my underarms. A teeny tad pointy. Comfy except for the wires. Had to put on middle hook. Adjusted straps fully on tightest setting.
$58

Tango II Balcony Style no. 3251 Color BLACK
34GG Band fells a tad more snug (great). Wire still pokes. I like this cut better, and it didn't have the low sitting issue.
$58

Andorra Full cup Style no. 5675 Color CARIBB BLU (bright turquoise)
34GG Band very snug, great. Bottom of boob, esp larger boob shaped weird and there is wrinking at bottom and a bit at side of cup.
34H Yes. Everything fits right! (Went up a cup because fitting specialist said the cups run small.)
$66

Cleo by Panache: Lucy Balcony Style no. 5851 Color PURPLE
34H Cup fits perfectly, wire pokes on bigger boob. Shape could be smoother, but it looks pretty! (Picked up H by accident, but I'm glad cause the GG wouldn't have fit!) *Edit There was wrinkling in the fabric that caused the not so smooth shape. So maybe trying on the GG wouldn't hurt? There were times when going up a cup size wasn't as big a difference as I might have thought, so it'd be worth a try.
$55

Fantasie: Rebecca Style no. FL2024 Color NUDE
34GG Nice! Smooth t shirt bra.
$77

Panache Sport: Sports moulded Style no. 5021 Color BLACK
34GG Could easily put on last hook. Maybe try 32H? *Edit: If it goes up that high!* There was space in cup near middle so maybe 34G? Bounced more than expected; wasn't immediately painful, but it seems like I would be sore after a workout. Better when tightened straps all the way.
$73

  • and now for the measures :D

  • Ugh. I have the same feelings about the Piper longline. I had one in 30E (though I am a 28FF). WHY SO FEW SIZES? D:>
