About 4 years ago, I learned that I had been wearing the completely wrong size bra (a VS 32DD with obvious quad and side boob and a too large band) when my correct size is a 28-30 FF-G depending on the bra. Most bras I have tried have issues (thanks to all the great blogs out there I have recently learned the reasons for most of these) and I would love suggestions as to which bras might work for me. I have learned that I have bottom heavy and soft (jiggly) breasts (pregnancies and nursing had their toll), my breasts are close together, and while I am petite, I like bras that come up fairly high under the arm and have side support. Example of bra issues are: plunge bras such as the Parfait Jeannie (30G) fit and look great when I first put them on; gore tacks, band is firm and does not ride up, all breast tissue fits in cups, but after wearing a while, my soft breast tissue starts falling through the middle. In low balconettes a similar thing happens, as my breast tissue escapes at the top and I also experience jiggle in this type of bra; a larger cup just leads to gaps and wrinkles. The Fantasie Savannah and Vivienne with side support hold all of my breast tissue secure, but the 30 bands (no 28s) are too stretchy so in time the bands ride up and my breasts pull the cups down, also the shape might have been a tad pointy. I have tried some Freya bras, but find their bands stretch too quickly and the styles/prints don’t appeal to me (may have something to do with the fact that I am 40 something). The Parfait Fionna and Parfait Charlotte in 30G fit quite well and I love the way they look and make me look, but some breast tissue will shift up and out of the cups, during the day and I have to readjust to get the tissue to settle back in the cups. I love both of these bras and wear them semi-regularly but never to work. The bra that fits me best at the moment is the Panache Andorra which I currently have in 28G in black. The band is a bit tight, but I think it will loosen up over time and the 30 would be too loose. The bra is comfortable, holds all of my breast tissue securely and does this all day without any need to re-adjust. The only problem is that I wear a lot of thin knits and the seams show quite strongly. So does anyone have any suggestions on bras that might work for me? I have no problem ordering online and trying on and returning bras, but many have been complete guesses and completely wrong.
