Do freya deco vibes have tighter bands than other models? I feel like it's a smidge too tight laying down but ok standing up. However, I never felt that issue with the other models

never tried that one, but i've tried the deco honey and my usual 32 was WAY too big... so if the material is different then the deco honey, then maybe that is way it's tighter?
The band feels firmer to me, but measures about the same as other models.
