I'm happy for the extremely petite women, reportedly mostly in Asia, who will have access to J.Crew's XXXS and 000 clothes. They seem underserved by the American manufacturers.
Is it selfish of me to wish J.Crew would put a couple extra inches of bust room in their petite clothing? The only reason their size 2 petite tops don't fit me is the bust. Their stores are everywhere, they constantly have sales, and their products are widely reviewed, both on and off their store site.
Would've been nice for my daughter when she was a young teen - she was a size 0 and 5'6, and had a really hard time finding clothes. But her hips filled out and she's more of a 4 now, I think. She inherited her shape and coloring 100% from her father lol.
