Alegro and band sizes.

As I have previously mentioned, I'm frustrated with my bras not fitting properly.

This was only enhanced by the bra packages I got after receiving three different model bras from Alegro; Innocent Lily, Floral Waltz, and Flirt Molded Cup.

I was so excited when first got a package with the Innocent Lily in a 38F, it was by far my favorite purchase. The band offered little to no stretch. Actually, it didn't even stretch to a 38. Measuring the stretched band and I could almost hear the seams breaking. So I went ahead and bought one in a 40FF. (since this bra was at least two cup sizes too small as well.) This made me discouraged; I figured the band would be similar on the other bras.

The second bra received wasn't actually for me. My girlfriend ordered the Alegro Flirt in a 36F. The band stretched to 42 inches. Needless to say, the band was way too big for her, so I tried it on. The band was still way too big. While the bra is cute, the entire bra just screams (and I'd hate to say it) cheap to me, it compares to the $2.00 bras I used to buy in 38Cs that I could put on like a t-shirt.

This confused me, now I had no clue where in this range from no stretch at all - could put on like a t-shirt the third bra, the Floral Waltz in a 38F would be. I received it on Friday, and while the band definitely runs big-- but not as big as the Flirt.

I guess I'm just tired of such a major band inconsistency.

With that said, after all of these bras that I've bought in 38s and 40s (with one more on the way), I think I am going to start trying on 36 bands. I've always measured 38 tightly around my underbust. Although if I take it in a little tighter, I can get it down to a 36. I'm fine with wearing 38s, I'm a fabulously fat lady, and I rock it all. But I've never had a band where I couldn't stretch it out inches away from my body. Thank goodness I'm not having the issue of the band riding up anymore, but I wonder if a 36 would do me more justice.

Woo, thanks for letting me ramble Bratabase~
