Sep 18, 2012: Size Me, Maybe?

I am still incredibly confused, but have decided to try three sizes: 28FF, 28G and 30E. These are the ones people seem to be suggesting most often. That way, I should be able to figure out band size and since they are all different volume a cup size, in theory I should be able to determine if I am a 30F, 30FF or 28F from these selections, as well. Now, if only I had enough money to buy all three at once...

  • Where do you live? (=country) And, just make sure that you pull the back tight on the 30 or have an extender on the 28s if they are not the proper band size.

I would also suggest a 28F, 30F and 28G rather. That way you get the same selection, only that you also will be spacing the 28s better and therefor easier determine which size you need. You will only be either a cup size or a band size from your true size. :)

  • Nesao's suggestion is sound, bc a 28F is the same cupsize as a 30E and a 30F is the same as a 28FF.

Before you order you might want to check whether the band of a bra runs tight or not. For example the Freya Padded Halfcups are rather loose in the band, also the Cleo Juna is a bit looser than other Panache bras, but the Cleo Marcie is really tight.

Note also that how far your tissue extends to the back influences your bra size. I need very wide wires, therefore I wear a 40H. Theoretically I could also wear a 44FF, the band would be stable enough, but in this size the wires are way too narrow.

People who suggested the 28FF to you might be drawing on their own experience of needing wide wires. Also a slightly too big cup can make the band feel loose, so if the 30F feels loose in the band try the 28F with an extension.

It also makes more sense in the beginning to order 1-2 bras in a lot sizes to determine your size first before you start looking for the right cut. Once you know your size you can order a lot of bras in that size.
