I'm infected - everyone around me needs proper bras too!!

So now I could use some help finding difficult sizes I'm no way close to and thus have no idea where to find...

Person 1 is now wearing 34E bras, but has measurements that fit 28G. She's doubtful about the tight band size so I'm thinking of first getting her some 30FF bras to work toward that proper 28 size. Still in puberty though and probably will still grow ;) For her, I look here and on 'my' websites like Bravissimo, Brastop, EM.

Person 2 I have yet to measure up but is wearing 34AA/34A bras, with a ribcage that I think needs a 28 band too, so based on that she'd need 28C. I looked on Bravissimo but their 28 bands start at D... please help me help her find bras :)
I am confident I'll get proper measurements of her soon, will update this when I get those but for now it's suspicions...
*edit* I have the measurements now, turns out I was completely wrong on both sizes, haha. Turns out she's a 32D (though it was a lightly padded bra). She's now already starting to look for more info on bra sizes and I'm confident she will try things out as far as money allows and there will be 2 new happy boobies in this world!

Thanks so much for the help!

  • For person 1, starting with a 32 band might actually be enough, if she's doubtful, going down two band sizes might make her refuse wearing the bra at all... Slowly ease her into it I would say... Or, try the 30FF, but give her an extender to start wearing it with so that she doesn't go back to the old 34 bras...

The 28C... Mimi Holliday have some:

Little bra company might be good: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/the-little-bra-company/size-range/28C/ Not all bras here has been added so you will find more from them in store.

Ewa Michalak has quite a lot: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/ewa-michalak/size-range/60C/

For 30B you also have Freya, and you might actually have some luck with Victoria's Secret and La Senza as well, depending on where you're from. Both Debenhams and Marks&Spencers own brand are probably worth a try as well. Just try to ease her into a new size as well, with a smaller bust she might actually be okay at a larger band size and, you don't want to scare her off. :P

But, now I'll stop trying to slow you down. It's great that you try and care! :) We need more of those people to make women understand that bras doesn't have to be painful and uncomfortable. :)

  • Measure person 2 first to get a more accurate picture of her size. In a band that is that much too loose, bra cups appear MUCH larger than they really are! For 'fun' I recently tried on a 32D Chantelle Rive Gauche Three-part cup and it looked HUGE on me until I pulled the band tight enough to 'fit' my 27" frame. Only then it became clear that the cups actually weren't bad at all -- wrong shape, but more or less the correct size. Without tightening the band that much a less experienced me would certainly have thought the bra at least two cup sizes too large. What I mean to say is that although person 2 is wearing an A or AA cup in a 34 band, cupsize-wise this may actually be way too small, ergo, 28C/30B may also be too small.
