Ok, I am trying to be good with my spending, I am looking at listings and I want quite a bit of bras.... oh the temptation... also, lately i have seen mentioned tall/ short roots, i am confused, i thought your root was only side to side, how can it be tall or short? Please enlighten me.

Ok. Being short rooted: it is like wide and shallow of the vertical dimension. Some people have breat tissue way up by their collarbones that comes down. Like a "D". Others might have the same projection out but the tissue doesn't start until closer to armpit height. Like a "b". So my chest goes down straightish till armpits then basically just out from there, as opposed to a more gradual slope from higher up? Imagine the extreme imagined of short roots like a pancake- same circumference horizontally around the ribcage but less vertical circumference.
Your root is where your breast tissue is attached to your chest.
Your root goes from side to side as you're familiar with, but it also goes up and down as well.
If there is very little vertical distance from where your breast starts to where it ends, you have short roots. If there is a lot vertical distance from where your breast starts to where it ends, you have tall roots. In between would be an average height root.
