Ewa questions? (also any Ewa owners from Canada?)

I was checking out Ewa's site just to lust over their bras. I remember seeing the new CHP Noc on facebook's newsfeed and loved it, it's about $35 CAD on their site. But I'm not sure how much shipping to Canada is, along with any added duties? And I think they have some kind of paypal fee added on too?

My sister asked me what I wanted for a holiday gift and I considered an Ewa bra.. but I'm not sure if it would be too expensive with all the extra costs and the fact that I would be guessing a size because I don't want to ask her to have to order a bunch of sizes and spend even more money on shipping it back.

Also I'm not sure how a CHP bra would work for me? I think I have soft, wide/high rooted breasts that don't have too much projection. An example is the Rhea fits pretty well on me but only after altering the straps closer together, otherwise I got gaping at the top, and the sides are a bit too short.

And one last thing I was wondering, do people contact her to make a bra for them even if their size is sold out on the site? Or can someone ask her to make a bra with special requests at no extra charge? In which case I would think it'd be non returnable.

  • Shipping to Canada is 45PLN, or $14.43. On top of shipping and the cost of your item, you will pay an additional 6% (which is the Paypal fee for international transactions. I personally have a huge problem with this, because they won't remove the 23% VAT charge that they shouldn't be charging on items sent outside of the EU.)

Return shipping for me (I'm in Vancouver) was ~$20 IIRC.

When you say your size is sold out on the site, do you mean that it says "on order" when you select your size, or that your size is not listed? If your size isn't listed (and it's not a clearance item) you can request they make it for you, but they can't return it (there are some sizes they also don't make in certain styles.)

  • Thanks so much that is extremely helpful! But wow, that's a lot of extra stuff to pay for, especially with Canada Post's high rates. And I guess there's no duties?

And yes that's right, some styles only had about 2-3 sizes in the drop down menu. I don't mean the special 26 band or larger cup orders. :)
