Need a soft cup--would you buy a nursing bra?

Ladies

I really need a soft cup bra, mostly for travel but also for stressful times like having dental work! So, not an everyday bra but, still. I need one. I have lusted after the Freya Kelly soft cup but now can't find it in my size (32G). I can find the nursing bra style.

So, for those who needed a soft cup, would you/did you buy a nursing bra, and are they bulkier at the strap? I have read various blogs where they review soft cup bras, and although I don't (yet) own a Freya, my recent experience suggests a 32G would be the right size. Freya soft cups get the best reviews overall, but I don't like the polka-dot ones.

Thanks

  • What size do you normally wear in Freya? I found Kelly/Dotty/etc very very generous in the cup so you might be able to size down.

In the Kelly though, you should be able to remove the clip, and sew the strap back together, and the cut of the "frame" for the nursing part.

the only Freya I have even tried on was the 32GG that was too big. But judging from that and from the comments I received, a 32G would be good. If Kelly runs that large, then an F or FF?

Thanks for the note about modifying a nursing bra. I wasn't sure if the clip join was bulky or if there were other considerations. Never had kids!
