Cup depth in relation to Breast Perimeter

Ladies who have found good cup fits for their breasts, please tell me about your bra cup depth measurements in relation to the horizontal, vertical and laying perimeters of your breasts?
Really curious how close people's best fitting bra cup depths come to their breast perimeters and which measurement is the closest.

http://www.bratabase.com/profile/3bw/adventures/1402/ This thread suggests that the laying measurement should be closest to your best fitting cup depth.

  • Short answer: it depends. My lying down perimeter is 10.5 and standing is 12 and 11.5 fits me best because I have soft tissue getting softer (and alas, more "empty" as I age).

  • RG is right, this is extremely variable based on shape and softness. My lying down perimeter is also sort of falsified by the fact that my skin and tissue are soft enough that there's saggin' and baggin' even lying down! I'm about a 12 perimeter lying down but a 10.5-11 depth cup is usually more than enough.
