Sister sizing confusion

So, I have a Chantelle Rive Gauche in 34H (US). The cup is just a little too big, wires go up a little too high under my arms, press a little too much into my sternum, band is way too big. So off I go to eBay and buy a Chantelle Icone 32H.

Band is perfect--very tight but also very comfortable. The cups are big! There is gapping at the top (kinda noticeable in the photos) but the wires press so hard into my sternum that I call it a CPR bra. My sister says hey, at your age, maybe having a CPR bra is a good idea!

But if I went down a brand size and stayed the same cup size should the cup have gotten bigger? Or do I have this all backwards. I've linked to the Icone.

  • You did the right thing regarding sizing. However you bought a different model. Same company, different bra, so it fits different. Also Chantelle has different models that are labelled the same (there are three Haussmann bras), so maybe you just got the wrong style.

Are any of the pictures of the Rive Gauche or the Icone yours?
