Asos lied.

I got a white lace DD+ bikini top from Asos. It looks and fits like a dream. It goes with a large fraction of all bottoms. The catch? Asos claimed it was padded, but it isn't. It's lined with ONE layer of translucent mesh. Even without water I can see through it.

I like the style enough to keep it, and it WAS cheap. I'm thinking of sacrificing one of my old stretched out bras to line it. I've noticed that most bigger bust bikini tops are unlined, even in the pale colors. My yellow Freya one has a strategically placed ruffle, otherwise it would have the same issue. Is there some special product for this purpose?

  • You can probably find a really cheap bikini and remove one of those padding things? Hopefully it won't look too awkward.

  • I believe they make silicone (or other) 'nipple petals' for this reason. Should be easy enough to find at your local megamart/department store.
Or like Jillsas said, buy a thrift store or clearance bikini and tear it apart
