Freya fits, but I'm not white

I have the problem that Freya "nude" items are functionally white bras on me. Any advice on dyeing it, preferably something non-toxic? I'm pretty worried about putting RIT that close to me.

  • First off, you need to check the material label :) Some materials can't be dyed, and secondly... If the thread is nylon, it won't catch on, it'll just not sink in.

I did hear about putting your dirty-white old bras in tea though... That tinted it beige.... Maybe it could work the same for nude bras? To use a black tea?

Here's a link of a bra that used to be dirty-white, she put it in some kind of black tea (she doesn't specify) and left it in a bucket overnight. Maybe you could achieve the same results? Proceed with caution though, I cannot guarantee that it will turn out alright.

  • I was just going to add a comment about using tea! I've successfully dyed white garments beige with tea, but you could also try using coffee for deeper shades! I found this link http://diyfashion.about.com/od/dyingandscreenprinting/ss/CoffeDye.htm

    Good luck!
