Panache Wires = Owww?!

So I found a great deal on a Panache Andorra plunge in a 38GG,got it for only $10,so I was like, yay, this is great,I can test it out without dropping a lot of cash I don't have right now.I had tried the full cup version in a 36HH before and found the band too small and the gore painfully stabbed me from being too tall (or so I thought).Since then I thought I dropped a cup size yet ended up getting some quadboob so figured if it works out I should get a 38H.
But...the wires,oh my lord...they are so uncomfortable. They are fairly narrow, about the same as my Ewa,but the problem is the ends on each end dig in painfully.I wore it for a few hours and ended up with almost small bruises where the center gore is.
Weird thing is,the wires on the outside never poked me with the full cup, they were wider and taller on the sides, too.
I remember reading that Panache has crazy wires, and it appears so.
I'm going to look around and see if I have little pieces of felt or velvet or something soft and sturdy and try sewing it over the ends.Hope it works cause otherwires I really like this bra.

  • alisa and I were just discussing this. Panache wires don't have much give, which isn't for everyone. The sport has really nice wires, and personally, of all the panache brands, Masquerade has my favorite wires. It's a happy medium between the relative flexibility of Cleo's wires and Superbra's stiff wires.

  • I also found a useful tip in another member's blog (wish I remembered whose) about bending the wires. Ultimately, the shape and style of the Andorra just doesn't do anything for me, but I had the identical situation that was 90+% resolved by bending the wires. I nudged out the ends and shaped the center/bottom to be curved rather than flat.
