Mimi Holliday have changed their sizing

I just got off the phone to Damaris at Damaris (yes, the owner/designer who's actually named Damaris!), because I had to return my latest purchase as it was too big.

I have three other Mimi Holliday bras in the exact same size (28B), which all fit great, however I noticed that the fit and measurements on this new one are closer to the too-big 28C that I already own.

Damaris confirmed that they changed the sizing of ALL Mimi Hollidays starting with the SS2013 collection, so that they are now fitting one cup size bigger than they used to. E.g. a 30B is now the same size as the old 30C used to be. This is because they'd had feedback that the fit of Mimi bras was coming up small compared to other brands.

Big problem for me, as the one option I had that fits me has now disappeared. I'll have to get online to Ewa Michalak and order one from there I guess. :-(

Hope this is helpful for the rest of you.

  • Lovely.

do you know if they are referring to the new models of SS2013? Or they are also changing their existing models?

The important question here always is "Is it possible to tell them apart?" If it is impossible, then they failed. I am always surprised on how short sighted brands can be when making those decisions, it shows how they cannot see beyond selling their new bras and completely forget about everything else they've put on the market.

  • I got the impression that this applies to ALL bras being sold in the SS2013 and future ranges. So that would presumably include old models still being sold.
The only way I've found to tell them apart is to try and find somewhere online where it says which season collection it's from. For example, I've been hunting today for Mimi 28Bs and found the Mojito range, then googled "Mimi Mojito" and discovered that it's from SS2012 (I think).
