Strapless and Swimwear

Taking the cue from a recent blog post, I've been thinking about strapless bras and swimwear lately (separately, not strapless swimwear).

I really want a strapless bra that works under clothes, but there seem to be very few in my size, and if they are, the centre is so high it seems like it would be useless under anything but a t-shirt - which would then make the strapless bra unnecessary. Not to mention I don't find high centres very comfortable. I don't necessarily want a plunge, but just a normal height. And I'd want this bra to be comfortable and to stay up enough I don't worry about it. And preferably in a skin-tone ish colour. I guess all that is too much to ask, though.

I also want swimwear that fits and is comfortable, too. And one that doesn't look like I just took off my clothes and stripped down to my bra to go swimming. I want it to look like a swimsuit, and provide some support. And look cute. But I also don't want it to have normal bra straps, since every single bra in my size seems to come with these super wide straps that hardly stay on my shoulders. I think that would be ten times as annoying in a swim suit. But I gave up on halter tops because the weight on my neck from my breasts was so heavy and uncomfortable. Is this better in a bra-sized swimwear? I think ideally the straps would be crossed in the back, or racerback. I have this one cute bikini top from Target in which the straps do this cute criss-cross in the back. Of course because it's a regular swim top it provides zero support so I don't actually wear it. But I'd love one like that that actually covers my boobs and gives support and all that.

  • What size do you usually need? It'd be easier to recommend you something if we knew :)

  • I've been wearing a 30HH.
