Why, why do they all fail on me?

I finally figured out what exactly it is why all the Panache bras with stretchy lace fail on me! I tried them all. Andorra, Jasmine, Envy. (Almost all, I never tried the Clara because I am sized out)
But they stopped working when I grew out of my 30J Andorra about a year ago and never worked again since! I tried several sizes of the Jasmine, but the bigger my boobs got the worse the bras were on me.

Here comes the Panache Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) :

It's not that bad! It's a tad more supportive than the Jasmine and I like the fabric better.
There are 2 things that make these kind of bras fail:

- Not enough lift from the center (it's not even the gore to blame, I don't think a taller gore would be much better...) it's just that all my boob volume gets distributed towards the center and there is nothing that really lifts there, so I kinda feel like my boobs will fall out of the bra at any time.

- Stretchy lace. Oh the issues I have with bras that are not roomy enough for my full-on-top boobs. Stretchy lace could be the solution for all the quadboob issues. But it's also a problem! It just doesn't give enough stability.

Now, I have 2 more issues with the Envy: I find the band quite big, I need to wear it on tightest setting and still can fill a whole hand under it! It's weird to think that I need a tighter band? Or does it just feel too big because the bra isn't that supportive?
And I dislike the projected shape. It's the side-support causing this, bringing boobs towards the center but since my boobs are already quite center heavy it gives me too much projection there. I like a more round less projected shape and a more close-to-chest fit.

Am I too picky? I really don't know... I mean this bra is an okay fit. It's wearable. It doesn't hurt me so far. But it feels weak.
I have an idea to “fix it”, but it's kinda risky. I think a second set of straps would help but I kinda fear to sew them on top the stretchy lace because I don't know if the lace part is strong enough for the tension :/

Oh I think I will have to stick to the Ariza, even if it hurts me sometimes:/

  • I think sewing another set of straps on is a bad idea =/ Like you said, it might be too much tension and I really think it would be at your size, heck, I even think it would be in my size which is considerably smaller! (28G)

I wish I had a clever idea to share with you...

  • To get more lift, I'd say you'd be better off fixing your straps so they cross over. I need to sit down and actually try this out on a bra of mine, but I'm planning to use extenders as multi-way fastenings (because the usual method of loops is utterly useless once you pass a certain size). My intention is to put one hook and eye on the straps at the front of the bra, and leave the back part 'normal', owing to my inability to actually fasten things on my back, and also to leave the straps with some adjustment.

The stretch lace won't hold anything, so definitely don't try sewing anything on that! I wanted to move the straps in more on my Jasmine, but I figured that it wasn't going to happen. That lace isn't sturdy enough.

Looking at the measurements of yours, the cups look so wide! I don't know if I can get a good fit in this or not.
