Merry Christmas to Me!

Have I even mentioned that I have the best husband ever?

Through all of my pain issues with my feet, shoulder and back, and my weight rollercoaster from not working out as much as I'd like too, he has never hesitated to tell me how great I look. I'm 5'9" with a larger frame, so I hold a little extra weight without showing it TOO much (except in my chest apparently, lol) but even I don't feel as good as I know I should about my body right now.

He's actually the one who nudged me into getting fitted properly a for bra (instead of trusting Victorias Secrets to tell me I was a DD) after noting that a lot of my shoulder and back issues could be bra related. Not to mention the fact that I had some pretty serious quad-boob going on at times. I'd have to say he was mostly right, even if I was absolutely positive that I couldn't be any larger than a DDD at the most - my second fitting here last weekend had me in a FF. It's been an eye opener that's for sure and it forced me to get over the stigma I didn't even know I had about DD+ sizes.

I really liked the black polka dot Freya Patsy half cup that I bought initially, but LOVED the color of the peacock version I saw online. Sadly, as that color is being discontinued, none of the stores we'd been in yet had it in my size.

But yesterday afternoon, I get home from work and there is a package addressed to my husband on the front stoop. It's from the UK and posted from a company called Belle-Lingerie. The hubs works later in the evening than me so I texted him at work and was like 'whadufuxisthis?'. He just told me to wait till he got home and that is was part of my Christmas present.

The man found my size for the Freya Patsy in the peacock color AND also got a Freya Marina (which I ADORE the pattern and accents on). I TOLD him that he didn't need to spend any more money on me (or my chest) this year, but he said that I had bought him an expensive gift last year (GoPro camera for his car racing days) and he saw that this was something that I had really wanted. He wanted me to feel as comfortable about my body as I could and that he had seen how relived and happy I had been after my first fitting at Nordies a couple weeks back.

So I now have 4 bras that fit right - the two most recent of which are the 'cutest' bras I've had since I outgrew normal department store sizes in like, 6th grade. Everything I've had from Victorias Secrets in the past 10 years has been single color molded cups or lace trimmed - not exactly 'fun'. I'm no girly girl by any means, but I don't think I ever realized how much I missed just having a cute bra pattern to make me smile until I put the Marina on. : )

I love my hubs! Merry Christmas all!
