Any petite ladies with somewhat big boobs (or bigger) who's had any luck with winter jackets?

Yeah, just read the title and you'll know my question :) I'm struggling so bad with this... I'm wearing my ill-fitting white skiing jacket that's 4 years old, has too long sleeves, too big waist-space (and no waist-cincher) and a hood that's scaled for someone much bigger than me so it covers my eyes when I put it on. I recently tried my luck with this petite-sized parka http://www.asos.com/ASOS-Petite/ASOS-PETITE-Exclusive-Parka-With-Fur-Lining/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3054944&cid=4177&Rf900=3717&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=36&sort=1&clr=Khaki

I used the fit visualiser and I was uncertain whether or not it would fit, and it fit easily for my waist and just barely for my bust (it fit but it could not be any smaller for me) but it was a real struggle getting it to zip past my butt and my thighs (I have an hourglass figure). The shape of the jacket is totally straight when you lay it out flat on the ground. Ugh... Not only that, the proportions felt off too. It felt as if they didn't really try the pattern on a real petite person, they just kinda whipped it up onto paper. "A petite woman needs shorter sleeves, check! She also needs a shorter length from top to hem, check! A little bit narrower shoulder width, check!" But... What about the armpit seam? -_- The super-duper fail thing about this jacket is... Yes, the shoulders are proportioned right for a petite woman (general petite frame), but it is NOT scaled right in the armpit area! It's as if they made the shoulder width smaller but they didn't understand that the sleeves need to be attached closer to the body as well, so what I end up with is properly scaled shoulder seams and too wide armpit seams! It's such a noob-error that I seriously doubt I'll order something from Asos Petite again... Maybe a pair of trousers or something else that wouldn't cost me a fortune to send back (it costed me about 250 SEK (Swedish Kronor) when I tried a similar jacket last year, but I've decided I won't buy any jackets from ASOS anymore.

Just a heads-up, I CANNOT recommend ASOS petite jackets to petite women, you will most likely be very disappointed.

  • Not I. All my winter coats make me look like a big box. Someday I would like a jacket that fits my figure.

  • I just feel so bummed out :( I can never wear jackets... I can get away with it 6 months of the year but the other 6 months? It sucks :( I have a very different style in my head compared to what I have to wear. I just wear whatever I bought a few years ago. I absolutely dread the day that I no longer can wear my current jacket... Where to go then? I'll probably have to buy a jacket I don't like, which fits me badly, but at least doesn't hurt.

Why can't there be a brand that sells winter jackets based not only on your bustyness, but also your height? I really need something like that. Imagining a day where I can just tick "petite" and "RC" or something like that (Pepperberry) feels so distant and just having that option... It would be a godsend.
