A tight gore!
Well, I can get a gore to tack.
But, hrm, I don't think I like it.
A 30 band will tack. It's just slightly uncomfortable. I don't mind tight. I've made bands tight. But 30 feels too tight. As in hard to breath tight.
I still measure in at 31.3"-31.5" for tight enough to support without being uncomfortable. The bra fits perfectly otherwise - or at least as I expect the cut to work. Time to give my extenders a trial. Now, so I wear black or pink with a navy bra, hrmmm.

Sometimes I wonder if it's really necessary for gores to tack well for certain people.I mean,I don't think any good fitting bra can have the gore an inch away,but a little bit off,as long as the bra is comfortable and doing it's job,doesn't seem like it should be something to worry about?
Could also depend on gore height...
Yeah, I'm really comfortable if my gore doesn't take. My breasts are below my sternum, so there's nothing to tack to really. So I have to go to the painfully tight band to tack.
In extender, on the tight hooks, I tack but it's still uncomfortable. On middle hook, I'm losing tack, but it's almost comfortable. On loose hooks (which give me a 31.7" band), minor tacking at the top, but it's forget it's on comfortable.
I don't think it's surgery related. I stuffed my sister in a 32J which was comfortable to her in the band, and she didn't have a tacking gore either. So I suspect it's my silly boob genetics. High sternum, low breast roots, big freaking boobs (sister is likely a L or higher) which are heavy, dense and FoB to the extreme.
Now, if I could get my sister out of the stupid 42DDD from Soma she buys that are way too small. I know I really despise the boob shame, but she complains daily how much the bras hurt, her back hurts, her boobs hurt and how comfortable the 32 band was.
