My bras that I ordered to try came in (except it seems the Jasmine got held up). So today, I tried out Panache Loretta Balcony (6681) and Panache Fern (6291) in 30K.

Both were quite wide, but thankfully shorter under the arms than some styles I've tried. Loretta has some of the widest-set straps I've seen! They just wanted to spring off my shoulders. Fern is so cute! I tried it out in the Paisley colourway, which had purple Paisley print. That's the kind of bra styling I rather like. It's fun, but still kind of sophisticated in a kitschy way (I don't know if that would make sense to anyone else). Sadly, Fern was too small for me, the top where the lace joined the fabric cut in, even when I scooped away from the gore (which I've been doing lately, scooping inwards, and then outwards again to direct my breasts towards the apex of the bra cup). Loretta was just the wrong shape. The cups are definitely narrower than some other Panache styles, but the strap placement and cup design just wasn't quite right.

So I still have miss Jasmine coming, which I am a little hopeful for because of the stretch lace. 30K in Panache is definitely too small for me now in the middle in unstretchy styles, but I do know that Jasmine has a bit of extra room in the top middle. Besides, the champagne pink looks like it may even be low-key enough to wear under a variety of colours. Branarchist - what would you say having seen it in person?

The staff are lovely though! They're going to write to Panache as a retailer and say that their bras don't work very well in small bands & large cups. They're also racking their brains for other stuff which I can try out.

Seriously, right now I just feel like buying some 28GG Freya Decos and running the risk of falling out of my bra all the time. I'm a bit frustrated with this whole thing. I get stuff which fits mostly okay, and then I grow and I'm back at square one again.

  • Did you take pictures of Fern and Loretta? I remember having those weird "cutting in" issue with Fern and the lace sticking out. It is modelled after a Tango therefore tighter around the top. I've been always curious about Loretta but there are hardly any reviews, so I never tried it. Super wide-set straps, sounds bad!

Oh I so can relate. *hugs* It's the story of my bra life.

Seriously, my breasts show no sign of letting up. I don't mind large breasts, but constantly having to buy new bras is crazy frustrating as you'd know.

I didn't think to take any pictures. I may see if I can do that next time. I'm not sure how they'd feel about it at the shop though.

Loretta reminded me a bit of Ariza, and a bit of Andorra. It's got the slightly pointy Andorra look, but I also felt it was like the Ariza in overall shape. It had some of the same fit weirdness I had in Ariza. Other than the super wide straps thing, I think it's much more likely to work on you than me. I don't mean that it will work, but it could be worth a go for you in 32K/34JJ (the band is fairly snug)

I didn't realise I wanted a paisley bra until I saw the Fern, but it's so cute! It must be a bit better for fuller on bottom shapes like the Tango I guess.
