Ok so I figured something out. All my 28G's fit me. Cleo have excess material on top. Lucy doesn't have that much right now so I'll probably leave her alone for now. Alexa can be alter by folding the lace over on the outside of cup and sewn. To make it more of a half cup. I got a sewing machine and I'm going to learn how to use it. 28G Mimi Holliday would fit perfect if the straps were not in my armpits. But, towards the center of the cups it would be a perfect fit. Also I need to alter VS 34 D band because those cups are perfect. I noticed the strap placement on Victoria Secret is very central above the cups and not so far apart like my Parfait Affinitas Isabella bra and also Lucy cleo. Those straps are just too far apart making the top of the cups bag up more. So that's one thing I like about VS is the strap placement. I have learned that just because I can wear a wider cup doesn't mean I need wide straps. In fact, I have narrow sloping shoulders. And strap separation is one of my main issues with all these bras in the right size! Jillsas thank you for helping me to learn where my bras should be. Higher. I appreciate that and I have learned a lot in the past 2.5 months.

  • Hahaha - you too! I bought a sewing machine a few months ago with the express purpose of learning how to alter my damn bras! I used to sew a lot years ago, but I hadn't touched a machine in ages. Now I'm surrounded by Frankenbras. I'm the Bra Mad-Woman in the attic (except I don't have an attic).

I've been learning a lot about my own shape (Jillsas is my Shape Guru) by discussing things here, and, weird as it sounds looking at my own photos of myself in bras. I notice things I never would have thought of if I hadn't tried to help others here with a "trained" eyes.

Your shape is obviously very similar to mine based on the bras that fit you and how they behave or misbehave according to their evil whims. Esp. the straps issues. I had to learn to wear wide set straps, but they either work well or they fail completely and it's hard to predict which bras might work. Since I've been ordering my bras from UK, Poland, and Singapore, I aim to get the closest possible fit!

It's so hard to tell. For example, my Curvy Kate Daily Boost fits well, and the straps don't bother me. When I ordered an Ewa Michalak, I ordered the one that has nearly the same measurements as my Curvy Kate...cup depth, band width, everything. The EM cups are too wide. I can fit the Curvy Kate inside the EM, and vice versa, but I cannot tell why the straps fit so differently.

  • I took a picture to show how if the straps on my 28F Mimi Holliday were in the center of the cup instead of my armpit how great the fit would be. That's how it is for a lot of my bras. I want to learn how to relocate the straps. :D
