Elomi Matilda try on session, Part 1: Unsuccessful Bras.

My third batch of bras ordered to try on from Bravissimo. Part one entry, the unsuccessful bras.

ROYCE IMPACT FREE SPORTS 38HH

I'd ordered this as a bit of an experiment to see if this style of bra might suit me as a comfort, round the house kind of bea. But this was a total failure for that.

The bea was very bulky, super high necked. The 38 back was very tight, and I couldn't even get the bra on. Even with an extended couldn't get it done up. And with two extenders it was too loose and misshapen to make a judgement about. Put me off the whole idea of branching out into other ports brs.

FANTASIE BELLE

This model is an old favourite I used to regularly buy years ago. With a completely different sized and shaped body, but also largely before I discovered the idea of larger cups and smaller backs. I currently own a 38G bra in this model I bought years earlier in my illmess.

38HH
Very obviously too large. The 38 back doesn't feel very snug, the cups have a little space on top. The gore nowhwere near tacking. Seems like even though the cup is large, it doesn't have enough projection, a very big crease at top of breast.

The shape of the bra just seems nothing like the shape of my body. Unlike the Elomi where the shape clearly matches much more closely than anything else I've tried.

In this Belle, everything feels quite messy and like the shapes are just random and misshapen, the shape of the cups, which are both too small and too large. The breasts are kind of uncentred in the cup, and the messy shape of the overall cup/breast points out to the side, and sags in front. The neckline is crinkly and loose, the gore is poking out, big crease in top of breast, etc.

38H
The bra is less clearly too big, so feels a bit more secure. But still a big shape mismatch. Gore miles away; breasts are smooshed together for a long cleavage, and the gore is completely outside that cleavage, poking out beyond my bust line. Cup shape is loose, sagging at front and a total shape mismatch. Straps a big gap off the skin.

OVERALL
Big shape mismatch, very unsupportive, unstructured, and my breasts are just not making sense in these cups.

I think the 38G I already own is hardly worse than these in fit, even though it is clearly too small.

  • Please add these bras to your profile and put your reviews there, that way they will be found by anyone interested in those bras. Writing this here will have it lost and unclassified so it won't be useful for future people.

  • Hi JJ,

I'm a bit confused because I thought adding a bra to my profile would be for bras that I own, not just bras I have tried on. I'm not going to keep any of these bras.

Am I wrong about this and there is a different part of the website specifically for trying on bras?
