Ellice Lydia

I just wanted to spread the word about Ellice Lydia and share a review I wish I’d seen before purchasing from them. I’m not on Reddit anymore, but I always used to see 26 band and below people look for a bra in their size and finding Ellice Lydia.

The review is by UglyGirlPrettyWorld. I know she’s still updating her blog, but not sure it’s appropriate to mention her as I don’t know her personally. But, she wrote a review of Ellice Lydia that I think everyone should read before purchasing. There isn’t a lot of info about this brand for newcomers, so I fell victim to their “inclusive size range.”

Everything you need to know is explained beautifully by ugpw, but I’d like to highlight a few things.

1) I got a “26 band bra” that measures 20” unstretched and 37” stretched max. You heard me right.

2) no idea how to measure the depth of a bralette, but it’s approximately 20-21 cm. It was supposed to be an FF cup so makes sense.

3) this means that I got a bra in 34C/D or 36B/C technically? Lol. I wouldn’t say that’s exactly the case, but the stretch is insane. When I got the bralette, the cups were large and baggy on my body. I’d literally be better off getting a Cosabella bralette… no - an Aerie bralette… no - a Costco 3-pack bralette.

I am so glad I didn’t take them up on their offer to fix my bralette after reading ugpw’s post. The job they did on her bralette is an absolute disgrace. And just like ugpw, I have never worn my bralette.

So there. Anyone thinking about buying from Ellice Lydia? Do not. You would be better off sister sizing, or as I said, getting a bralette back from your local warehouse store.

I just thought I’d keep the word spread. I wish I’d known this when I wasted $35 on some scrap fabric…

  • yeah, unfortunately I've read a lot of poor reviews on Ellice Lydia as well.

It really ANNOYS ME when brands go after the underserved 26 (small band) market. Since there are so few options already. Like they promise, but don't deliver.
