Currently sitting here with two carts loaded from Rui Glamourous and Shirohato, debating on my commitment to Bra Science when it comes to ordering bras almost totally blindly. I can find very little information on how scaling works in Japanese bras in larger cup sizes, and no information on the specific bras in my carts. Really, ordering I can mentally gymnastic my way into justifying, it's mainly the proxy shipping that's intimidating (which probably is a lot easier than it looks).

For reference, in my Rui Glamourous cart, I have three different styles of bra in a size 65K, which is the biggest cup they carry, in the smallest band they carry.
In my Shirohato cart I have two bras of the same style, since they only have one bra model that goes over a K cup, one is a 65L and the other is a 65M.

I am fairly certain the Rui Glamourous is likely to be at least a bit too small, but I'm debating on how small. Will I still be able to get away with wearing it and it'll just be a bit more cleavagey? That is fine with me, they are extremely pretty and I have nothing like them in my Bradrobe. I just hope they won't be way too small and I won't be able to wear them at all.

The Shirohato ones, will 65L fit me, or will 65M? According to the conversion charts 65L is the most direct conversion, but then some people have said Japanese bras run small in the cup, so then does a 65M make more sense?
I'm aware that this contradicts any reason to buy the 65K bras at Rui, haha, they are just so pretty. The Shirohato ones are kind of plain.

  • I've also had my eye on some bras from these brands recently. I know it's suggested to go up 1-2 cup sizes, but I'm still figuring it out. I may order two sizes in one bra and hope one of them fits. Best of luck with your shopping!

  • @WildWolff I've read that you should size up as well. Which makes getting the Shirohato ones make the most sense since I can go up one size in them (65M) and the Rui would be going down a size, but the Rui ones are just so pretty, hahaha.

Good luck with your shopping as well! If we can add more data into Bratabase from Japanese brands hopefully we'll be able to help others make good choices with Japanese brands!
