I was browsing through the 2014 Curvy Kate line on their site today - I have been drooling over the purple Tease Me set for months, just don't have the money right now, and wanted to see what else I need to plan ahead for - and I finally noticed how high and wide the center gore is. On every single model they make. I can't believe I never saw it before.

I guess I should specify that I cannot handle high center gores. For whatever reason, my breasts' roots almost meet in the center, AND I am super sensitive to pressure and rubbing, which makes any space between the underwires unwearable (and no one makes bras without it).

I am a little bit sad, because I so want the Tease Me and it is so pretty, but at the same time, maybe it's for the best. They are kind of expensive, after all. Is there anything out there remotely similar? I love the lace and the eyelet ribbon and all, and I haven't seen anything like it, but then again, I haven't been shopping around that long.

  • CK is pretty much met for wide, shallow, wide-set breasts, unfortunately. Each brand caters to different types. If you find yourself unable to cope with a few separate models, you'll probably not have any luck trying others. Sorry.

  • Curvy Kate are however launching new plunge bras now, which might be worth checking out if you want to try something still look at:
Curvy Kate Daisy Chain Plunge Bra (CK2711)
Curvy Kate Roxie Padded Plunge Bra (SG2311)
Curvy Kate Dare Plunge Bra (SG2411)

Their half cups does in my experience have the widest gores, most other models are lower... Plus, they have changed the shape so if you tried older models/colours in the unpadded you might still be able to find something that fits.
