In between cup sizes?

So, by now I have been trying EM sizes a lot (al plunges), but none of the sizes seem to fit me :/.
I bulge out of a 60G, but the 60GG I bought was waaay too large. For reference I tried the 65FF (which should fit me according to Ewa), which was a little bit larger than the 60G (in hight only, not cup depth) but still was too small. Then I tried the 65G to see if the 60GG I bought had accidentally been made too large. Well, the 65G isn't as large as the 60GG I received, but still is too large as well. The cup depth difference (60G-65G) is about 3 cm. Now I find this a LOT. Between my 60FF and 60G there is a 1 cm cup depth difference.

There is another problem with the 65G. The gore is a little higher than of the 60G and the wires seem to be a bit wider. The gore really cuts in painfully to my sternum...

So, I am considering altering the cup so that I can at least wear it more comfortably for now. But before I do so, I was wondering whether it is possible to bend the gore outwards so that it doesn't hurt so much, and if the whole operation would be worth it, or that I could best try another brand that would have a size that fits me.

I took in the band already so that it fits like a 60.

  • You can bend wires pretty easily. A lot of my bra wires need to be bent. Sometimes even if the bra fits, the shape of your sternum isn't completely flat like the wire and you just need to mold it to make it fit. Try bending the wires... you can always bend them back. :-)

  • Thanks! I tried with with a pair of plyers and it is so much more comfortable!
And I think I found a solution for the gaping at the top too: if I alter the strap away from the armpit, the cup is lifted more from the center, which will close the slight gap and give more support in the middle :D
