Band size dilemma

I've finally nailed down my size in EM BM bras, which are the comfiest, nicest looking bra I've found. I can do an 80DD or 75E. The 75 is in the tight side (snug underbust has gone down to 32 inches with recent weight loss, a trend I hope to continue). 80 feels supportive, but does start to ride up the tiniest bit at the clasp towards the end of the day in the loosest hook. I'm leaning towards sticking with 80s, as I plan to have a small rotation (my size can easily change with a 10 lb weight change, lucky me) so I never like to stock up because as my weight fluctuates I need something different. And extenders are kinda annoying. So what's the generally consensus? Slightly tight to maybe last longer or a tiny bit loose because with at most 3 bras they'll wear out faster anyway??

  • Personally I would go with a tighter band as I lack the skills to shorten a band. Either way you have some work to do, what are you more comfortable with?

  • If you have a larger rotation, I would go with the 80, especially if it’s a 4 column hook tape, since going in one is no different than a normal 3 column hook tape. But if you can do the smaller one with 1 row from the extender, that’s good too. Also, if it’s a full lace band, like Kleks or Malachit, size up.
