What bra were you sad to see go?

Last year I was saddened when I had to say good-bye to a favourite pair of jeans. This year, I am sad to say good-bye to the first batch of bras that fit me well. Sigh... I have already said farewell to my first sub-32 band bras when I started on the journey, but it was not too traumatic as it became apparent that the fits were poor and better bras were out there!

I am sad about a Freya Darcey 28D bra that I had altered with pads and darts to fit my 28C measurements. I had cleavage for the first time! I was smitten and stared at myself in the mirror.

What bras were you folks sad to see come to the end of their days?

  • Do the bras I had bought when I first started getting a proper fit count? I ended up giving my UK bras to Goodwill. I really liked the designs on the Panache Jasmines. It’s okay, hopefully someone else will love them.

  • My Lepel Lilly. I bought it at Bravissimo 3 years ago when we went to England for our 20th anniversary. I was so happy to be at a Bravissimo shop I totally forgot about swooping and scooping til I got to the other Bravissimo store where I was reminded (hadn’t done it for years, and thought leaning over into the cup was enough). But I had already bought a 30E at the first shop and did not realize til I got home again that it was a smidge too small. It’s such a pretty bra - silky royal/navy blue with ivory birds and I have the bottoms to match.
