I have successfully lowered the cup height of a unlined Freya bra at the cup wire level. I lined it with a molded cup of the desired height, tucked in the excess fabric, and sewed in the bra cup with the right amount of projection. It is a smoother fit with no darting nor folding of excess fabric on the outside of the cup where visible. I cannot tell that it is a bit of a Frankenstein bra. I did have to tack down a flaring out cup edge as the added bra cup is cut from a $3 special from ebay and not the best quality. Overall very pleased with the results and the bra is firmly in my rota.
