Jun 09, 2013 -- Dilemma ... calling all Cleo Juna 'experts'

For those of you who haven't followed my previous 'bradventure', I finally, after many months, ordered myself a Cleo Juna in 30DD. And now I am in a serious pickle as this bra is quite possible the most compatible with my shape of all bras I have tried so far, BUT it also is the most hideous instrument of torture I have ever encountered (seriously, it beats that too small Tease Me by a landslide). During the scant five minutes I wore it this morning to take some pictures for my review the wires seriously pressed into and bruised my sternum and they were so incredibly painful overall they made me want to cry. They made me feel breathless and queasy and I was left with angry, deep red marks all around where the wires had tried to cut their way into my torso. On the front of my ribcage BELOW the line of the bra a strange red rash-like something appeared as well. The great shape in spite, in it's current form there's absolutely no way I can wear this bra.

So, what I'd like to know from you is the following:

Is this

(a) normal. Beauty equals pain, so stop being such a sissy and just suck it up.
(b) salvageable. It can be fixed and whatever it takes, it's worth the trouble.
(c) not meant to be. Stick with your slightly less well-fitting but infinitely more comfortable Chantelles.

A review with photos is in the making, but I'm just curious whether other people have had the same issues with the Cleo Juna ...

  • Yes I do have the same issue with Juna, but I don't know how to fix it unfortunately. For some reason it was a lot better in the Cleo Ellie which is the same cut as the Juna.

I guess you could try shortening the gore since there is so much empty space in the wire channels (just push the wires towards the sides as far as they will go) but I'm not sure if it will help. I tried that once and then the wires hurt on the sides instead of the middle...

  • True, the wires are a lot shorter than the channels -- I might give it a go, thanks! :)
