Compressability and hollow back, help?

I don't get the fat compressing thing. If I measure my underbust on top of my bra, I mean putting the tape measure like this all around the bra, then whatever band size I try I get 78cm for underbust. Is that like a logic way of measuring underbust line? I get this even when the bands ride up. And I get it if measuring as tight as humanly possible. But only if I use the tape measure shown in the pic. A broader tape measure will give me a larger underbust.

Now; if I measure my waist loosely I can put more than a fist behind in my back because it's so hollow and I always have tons of extra fabric in that area. Measured tight but still with room in the back I get 83-86 cm waist depending on tape measure used. Loosely around 90 cm waist. Bloated ohwell 99 or something?

It's like I'm made of this kind of material: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8UQUvpBBDt4/TMoSgOzI5MI/AAAAAAAAEdI/UVrgERCM7v8/s1600/gelehallonwallpaper.jpg

That material is hard to measure as it bounces back immediately and you would need to have a very very thin thing to actually measure as tight as humanly possible?!

How complicated can measuring even become? How am I supposed to measure?

Oh and yes; I do have a swelling body so it's about more than fat, but still; it's extremely complicated.

  • Well, not everybody has much compression in the underbust. I have about 1 centimeter of compression; I doubt I would even see the difference if I used inches. I get a lot more variation just from breathing deeply or breathing shallowly. It is really hard to get the band right if you're built like this. What's loose enough to be comfortable can easily ride up during the day as the elastic expands.

  • Aaa Oh! Maybe breathing doesn't really affect measuring for a more compressable person? That kind of makes sense?

Now very crazy question; do you have a rib or something to lean wires on? I always need to put wires on a rib because otherwise my bra will press on my stomach (and I mean the digestive part of my stomach) and start affecting digestion. I used to wear wires one rib higher and now I place them on top of a lower rib. If they end between ribs there's all sorts of discomfort going on.

I thought maybe if you don't have any padding you might have terrible discomfort from wires so I wonder how they "stay up" on a leaner person.

I've now measured my underbust line as tight as humanly possible with the help of a USB cable. Turns out I am much more compressable than I thought. 72.5 cm is now my tightest measurement. Maybe I should stop saying I have a large ribcage.

    Also what are your measurements?
