Anyone who can help me with a quick question? All people here that are native speakers of English, please help me! x) I'm sorry for going off-topic but I really need some help and I figured it'd be kinda unnecessary creating a new account for a forum I'd barely be using. I tried googling the sentence I had a hard time with, but came up with nothing. "The post new look ideal was typified by the curvaceous stars of the time such as Marilyn Monroe". What does post new look mean in this context? If someone could help me sort this out I'd be so grateful! It's the 50's section.

Now, I'm not a native English speaker, but I'm thinking that "new look" refers to Dior's "New Look" from 1947, whic was pretty groundbreaking in fashion. .
I'll look it up and come back in a bit :D
It would be the look that came immediately after the "new look", where New Look probably refers to what prettyNpetite suggested.
