Apr 08, 2013 - Personal failures (in bra alteration)
Dear goodness, I must be totally inept. I have tried to do this stupid alteration (which by everyone else's reckoning is a simple, easy fix) three times on my yellow Lucy. The first two times I put the stitches in too far from the wires, so the cups didn't end up turning the way I wanted them to. This time I did it with the bra on the counter instead of in my lap on my bed (I know, I'm lazy) and now I've put the top too close together and the wires are pushing each other into a weird angle. I am pretty sure by the time I am done with this, the gore is going to have so many holes in it it's just going to rip in half when I try to put it on. /rant

I feel you. Done this with all my bras, because all the center gores will forever be too wide for me.
oh I had my share of bad gore alterations :) The worst one also done on Cleo lucy, where I altered the gore inward.
Now except overlaping wires (?!) the darn fabric bulge iritated my skin until I blead!!! So from then on I alter the gore outwards, even though then it looks like... well, a clitoris :blush: XD
