I've been bruised!

Something I notices after I got a bra that has narrow underwires (even when I'm wearing it) that the slightly wider wires from my fleet of Tangoes have left me with slight bruising. First I thought it was just discoloration, but no, those are bruises under my arms. They even hurt when I poke them. It's strange, because I find Tango Ii Balconette to be quite comfortable. I don't feel it poking or bruising me, yet it does.

I wonder if it's even possible not to have something poking somewhere if I wear bras with underwires. I mean, even with narrower underwires they'll still be on my ribs. While I'm not stick thin, my sides are mostly skin and bone. I guess if it bothers me, I could always pad the ends of the wires a bit.

But anyway, I still wear my Tangos more than any other bras. After all, I've only got one Ewa Michalak SM bra, until they bring out more colourways.

  • Well, if the wire was perfectly shaped to the curves of your body it wouldn't poke you anywhere. That means a whole lot of bendning though.

And, you would still have pressure from the wires onto your ribs. I don't have much padding at all around my ribcage (*sad face*) and if I wear the same (well fitting comfortable bra) too many days in the row, or even just bras with the same cut in the same size, I still get marks from the wires rubbing in some places which takes about two weeks to heal completly.
