The joy of seeing Freya bikinis at my local swimming pool :)

For years I have been swimming on Sundays during women-only hours at a swimming pool in city quarter full of immigrants. For about the same time I have rolled my eyes at the women there and the stuff they wear to swim in. White cotton t-shirts with no bras, old padded T-shirt bras, bicycle pants, cheap one-size-fits all swimsuits, and one-size-fits all triangle-bikini tops. You name it, I have seen it. Particularly the women of an extended Kurdish clan, who seem to make up half the customers and are all blessed or cursed with a larger than average chest.

Since they usually walk out of the swimming pool wearing jilbabs and headscarves and several layers of clothing, you cannot spot any obvious bra mistakes. But in the dressing room it tended to be obvious that the bras were in a similar state - all cheap and grabbed from the sales rack of a local chain store stocking A-DD with no regard for size and probably without trying the thing on first.

Occassionally I would hand out some flyers on brafitting with the webadress of the German forum to the younger women who spoke German. I never noticed any changes. Then last Sunday, I was there again. I hadn't been for over a year. I almost couldn't believe my eyes when a young Kurdish woman walked in wearing a perfectly fitting Freya Pier Banded Halter Bikini in apple sour and about 30E, followed by the rest of her clan in Panache and Fantasie swimwear. :D

The only downside is: now I need to update too. I need to stop wearing that supercomfortable, but unsupportive "XXL D-cup" swimsuit I have and switch to Elomi swimwear. Argh, that is going to be expensive!

  • Hehe. Brilliant!

  • :))) Can we have that German forum address btw? It could help me brush up on the language a bit :)
