This bra has never really been comfortable for me at any point in my properly-fitting-bra career. It was the first non-matrix bra I tried after finding out that my 32Bs don't, in fact, fit. I should have gone for a 30DD at that point with my 29-inch underbust - the band was true-to-size and painful. And even when I was a true 28E and the band had loosened from wear, it still wasn't comfortable because the wires poked me, and I could never fill that space near the straps. Just a shape mismatch, I guess - almost all plunges are like that on me.

Unfortunately this bra is too small for me. I had a feeling it would but, but I wanted to try it, and 30E wasn't available.
The width is 5 inches, and the depth is 8.5, so in theory this bra should work for me, but I think because the cups are so short, I get cutting and, and when the bra is on the wires feel/appear too narrow. The last time I measured, I wasn't at my largest (which I was about a year ago), so I feel like this should fit. The top also cuts in

I love the color and the underwires sit exactly where my narrow imf is, although I wish the underwire was slightly longer for once. The channel is the perfect length but the wire doesnt tottally fill that channeling. The silver embroidery is really nice. I would like help with finding bras that would accomodate more center fullness but are as narrow as these underwires. EDIT/ I removed the elastic from the top of the cups and its almost laughable how well it fits now. It used to leave angry red indents of where the lace was on my tissue, but now almost no marks after wearing all day and the added projection keeps the bra from riding down onto my ribs. Why are the elastics there, for fob or splayed roots? I'm sure it's useful for some ladies just not me.

Gorsenia K200+ Unlined balconettes, avoid models with "big" adjective.

    • Thanks I'll look into that

    • 1

I wish I had read these reviews before I tried Flirtelle! So far all models I have tried are super shallow at the center!

    • 1

I wish the manufacturers made this easier.

    • Flirtelle should fit like Curvy Kate as it is a sister brand, but nope.

    • Maybe it's just the models I tried didn't fit my shape and others will but, all the Curvy Kate bras I've tried are also shallow in the center for me or just too wide in general. The underwires and strap placement just far too wide for me and the cups too shallow. And the materials have felt scratchy. I prefer Flirtelle for sure personally. I might try upsizing next time I think about buying Flirtelle, I think their narrow wires and strap placement allow for that. It's funny also that although shallow im the center my flirtelle have been so much less east west. I guess thats the narrow underwires. I've been wishing that my old 30F cup bras fit again because of the 30FF feel so big and matronly on me. And if I quad out in the center I feel pretty hopeless because they fit me so tall and wide already. I just gotta have those narrow underwires I'm realizing. And all my underwires end up riding down on my ribs either because the underwires are too wide or the cup too small in the center.

I bought this bra in a desperate quest to buy a flesh toned bra for my light brown skin. I didn't expect much from it, i just wanted something decently supportive to wear under my Rythmic Gymnastics leotard for competitions (it has a see through back and the sports is quite high impact).
This bra has exceeded my expectations.
The cups are cut and sew padding, which is thin and supple with a little stretch to it, making it easier to fit than rigid foam bras in my opinion. it shapes and supports the breast but it adapts to the shape and minimize asymmetry.
The cups give a medium amount ... of cleavage on my full on bottom breast but still feels quite secure, and the shape from the side is quite round.
the back is wide with three rows of hooks and eyes, it is stretchy but relatively firm and it hasn't stretched out in a few months of owning it. I wear 28 in brands like Freya and a 30 in the middle hook in Cleo these days. while this is a true 30 band I feel like it doesn't affect the support and doesn't cause me back pain like too big bang usually do for me.
regarding the bra's appearance, the colour is mocha with some warm undertones. It is pinker than my skin tone but PERFECTLY disapears under clothing for me, including white tops (and the aforementioned see-through beige powermesh). I feel like it would work as a neutral for quite a range of light brown women. the lace is also much prettier in person than in the stock photos, and the bra also looks better I feel.
Overall, it's very comfortable and supportive. And very affordable. It's not the prettiest bra but I bought one in another colour because I appreciate it so much.

I bought this bra used , and it was a bit more used than advertised (not bratabase ) so marked it as altered as I don't know how much it has been stretched.

Quality , feels cheap ,stiff .
This is a odd bra gives a odd shape points to the side and flat in the front .
And I feel squeezed in by the cups . I don't wear padded bras and only picked this one up cheap to help see if I would like one and what my size might measure ..unfortunately this bra has failed I think in helping me . How am I supposed to decide which pretty polish bra I want without knowing if it's impossible to even wear a bra that has padding . Sigh

Do you have any bra boutiques near you to go in and try if they stock some Polish brands? Some online stores are good about returns too just be sure to check their return policy. Sorry this didn't work but I bet you will like the Polish brands :)

    • 1

I have several bra boutiques near me but only 2 with extended sizing , one charges for "fittings" however you can't just try on bras there so I will not shop at that store don't think they have polish brands , and the other I know doesn't. I was just in , a lovely shop with only d+ limited selection in my size . The owners are very up-to-date on fit and trends maybe "they need a few do you carry this brand ? "

    • 1

I'm sorry this didn't work out for you! I've tried Flirtelle too and the padding felt very stiff and unforgiving compared to my Comexim bras. I think you might like the padding on Polish bras better - in my opinion it's much softer and doesn't try to mould my tissue into a particular shape.

    • Isn't Flirtelle the cheap sister of Curvy Kate ? They are always on some kind of sale on Brastop, but I was hesitant trying their bras. This review has further discouraged me in that.

    • 1

Well I decided I couldn't live with the odd shape and hated the feel of the padding . So last night I to my seam ripper and scissors to it and bye bye padded lining hello very sheer bra . The bra itself looks so much nicer , alluring and it is supportive . I would not jog in it lol . It's still way too shallow , and not the prettiest shape but it will do . I would not buy this brand again myself .

Very very wrong for my shape.
I really liked the sheerness & black/white 'chessboard' pattern but the fit does not work on me at ALL.

Too east/west, too closed off, too shallow in the bottom and too deep; all at the same time. Elf shoe alarm!!
This won't work with my boobs in whatever size.
Probably would work better for ladies with wide-set breasts, more bottom fullness, quite projected? Sort of similar fitting to Freya unpadded balcony plunges (which also don't work on me).

    - Tight band (tighter than my other Flirtelles)
    + Nice low gore

Anyway I'm most definitely returning this.

This bra makes you look pretty in pink: the shade is almost a bit 'dusty/rose' rather than bubblegum pink.
Nice sort of geometric woven border along the cup edges. Material is a little bit scratchy (mesh-like?) but not actually uncomfortable. Band is nice and firm, straps are pretty much standard width and fully adjustable.

Cup-wise Flirtelle padded bras run small, in my experience (I've tried quite a few: Ellie, Kimberley, Mia, Zara). On average I would say smaller also than Curvy Kate (Flirtelle is her 'sister brand'). Same goes for Anneliese: while normally a 30GG/H, I definitely needed a 30HH in this.

For reference my shape is pretty ... FoT, tall-ish roots, average projection? Always thought I was wide and shallow - but with some size fluctuations, I think I'm more medium/projected now.

This bra runs fairly deep in the cups but is a little too closed on top for me (though there's no real quadding). From the side, it gives a slight elf-shoe appearance - a bit too pointy for my taste. Still, as I do fill out the apex of the cups and the pointiness is less obvious under clothes, Anneliese is wearable for sure.

The reason I wear her less than Ellie (e.g.) is mainly the straps + tallness of the side wings: this bra tends to chafe my armpits a little. Not as bad as some (Flirtelle Amelie - review yet to come - a Smoothie clone and VERY wide & tall in the sides) but enough to make me prefer other bras.

Contemplating whether I should give Anneliese more opportunity to prove herself; or put her up for sale.

Note: The bra I tried was called Anneliese but it has the same model number as Georgia (FL6201)

I tried both the 40JJ and the 40K in this bra. Ultimately I chose the 40K but the JJ was a very good fit also. I loved how narrow and close set the wires were! The fabric is sheer and the straps narrow and stretchy, so the bra is sexy but pretty bouncy. See my review of the 40K for more details.

  10. Dahlia Balconette Bra (FL9001)

I really didn't like this bra at first and only ordered it to wear with white tops. However, as the weeks passed, I found myself reaching out for it more and more.

The cups: I heard that the Dahlia was based on the CK Ella, which I have in 28HH and which is a wee bit too small, so I ordered a 28J. The cupsize of the Flirtelle is okay - perhaps a bit too big on my smaller boob, but fits right on the bigger one. I think I would be able to get away with a 28HH (I have full-on-top boobs and the lace on the top ... edge of the cups is quite stretchy), but I'm glad I got the 28J. As it is, I have the straps tightened almost to the shoulder (straps fully adjustable).

The band: I closed it on the third hook and it fit well. But still, third hook right away? I think I'm a pretty straightforward 28-band person, so I'd suggest trying a bandsize down (if possible).

Looks: Meh. I really don't like beige/nude/tan colors, and I only ordered a nude bra because I sometimes need to wear white shirts and desperately needed something beneath them. Even though the Dahlia is a few shades darker than my own skintone, it works *really* well (I was suprised at how invisible it is beneath the white tops). And it's got a nice floral pattern and the straps are so shiny they almost look golden, so I guess that's a plus, but still... it's nude.

And, as usual, my nipples end up beneath the see-through part, as with all CK bras with lace at the top. Oh! And it also drags the boobs sideways, so one looks wider than with, say, a Freya Deco or even a CK Ella.

    --- EDIT ---

I've had this bra for about two years and I can say that I truly do wear it only when I have to (usually it ends up being the last bra I wear before a big bra wash). It drags the boobs sideways too much and makes them look really large. Also, this is the largest size I can wear in CK, because I've got a short torso and even the 28J rubs in my armpits and I have to shorten the straps as far as they can go.

So... useful, basic, but hardly ideal https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> It is still a decent, non-aggravating bra, so I do wear it quite often, but it's not one I would buy again.

The band fit me well. It is a real plunge bra in a 32JJ which is quite rare. The bra gives a pretty shape but the center gore was too low, causing boobs to fall out towards the middle after wearing it for a couple of hours. It gives nice cleavage which isn't that easy to achieve if you have big boobs, but it's not good if you have very center heavy boobs like me. Also the bra was slightly too small and I ended up with some quadboob as I needed a 32K in this. The wires are quite narrow for a JJ-cup.

I have quite soft breast tissue on a wide root, but with a decent amount of upper fullness. This bra was cut for a shape very different than mine, so when my breasts filled the cups and conformed to their shape it ended up looking quite strange. This bra was also slightly too small for me which didn't help matters.

I think that someone with narrower breasts than me (in need of narrower wires and with more of a "tall" shape to their breast) would find this bra quite flattering. It is cut loose enough in the top that someone with moderate upper fullness could fill it out, but ... tight enough that someone with a somewhat full on bottom shape (shallower above the apex) could do well in it as well.

The gore is very, very slim. The underwire channels actually touch, so the gore is a small triangle between where they meet and the bottom of the band. Moreover, the straps are fully adjustable which made it awesome for shorty me with the high chest.

All around it's a quite pretty bra well suited to those with a narrow chest, just not the right size or - more significantly - the right shape for my bust.

The biggest problem with this bra is that the cups are really stretchy. It's "jiggle city" down here and my breasts don't completely fill the top OR the bottom of the cup. The band fits nice around the front but is too stretchy in the back. The straps are very wide set and yet they are not very long. It makes my wide set boobs look drifty and droopy. The bra *might* fit me better in an FF but I'm not going to bother. The stitching seems a little off and I am pretty sure that I am not the first person to have tried this bra.

You really do have to try them on. Same company, same general style, same size, different fit.

My guess is that the cups are too large, but It might not be a good cut for me because my breasts are bottom heavy. I can't fill the top of the cup, which is a very pretty embroidery over net.

The band size feels good, and I'm having the same chafing problem with the straps as I do with other bras.

I noticed that this bra doesn't have the same attention to detail as my other flirtelle bras - there are lots of tiny loose thread ends on this bra. The workmanship appears a bit rushed.

If the underworked dig into your sternum, slide the underwire in the channel - the channel is about 3/4" longer than the wires. This made all the difference in the world to me. I get slight quad-boob if I throw my shoulders back, but for the most part I love the fit.
