This is a very pretty color. It's not as bright as the stock photos show. I feel like some of the features of this bra resemble the Comexim plunges that I have had. The major difference is the cup width. This has wider cups then Comexim. The wires are short and comfortable on me. Most UK brands dig in my armpits or sternum. Overall I think this is a good buy, especially when on sale at Brastop.
Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG
Amazingly, Flirtelle straps are not too wide for me. However, the wires are. Not too bad though. Cup shape is not centre fullness friendly and the seams cut in to tissue. This is my Flirtelle/Curvy Kate cup size up, so I think is must be a shape incompatibility issue. slight wrinkling at bottom of cup -immediate projection decent, but not quite enough, but nothing is.
Just looking again, I think this one has a flaw in it - the right centre gore is shorter than the left and the top panel is similarily shorter. Maybe this accounts for the shape issue? See photos.
I didn't realize that Flirtelle is related to Curvy Kate. Their cups fit the same way. I have to size up. I will post a fuller review when the new size arrives. Major upsidedown seven!

Great for a plunge! I never fit plunges, so I will have to try a full cup in this brand.
A little bit quading at the center and gaping at the strap attachment, but that is normal.
Plus, a tad wide strap placement, but very wearable.
Seam between bottom of cup and top lace is a little noticeable through clothes.
Assymmetry more noticeable than usual.
Immediate projection not quite enough for me, but what is.
This bra is a light, grey-ish beige. It is slightly too pale for my skintone, but may work perfectly for someone a little lighter. The lace did not show under a shirt for me.
This bra is excellent for short roots. The wires are relatively narrow, and the cups deep. The plunge is lower than it appears, so if you're center heavy you'll get a lot of uncovered breast tissue. It has good immediate projection, but is a little shallow at the gore. It creates a very rounded shape (not natural like unlined Freya) It is not as front and center as my Cleos or Freyas, but it does not create an east-west look by any means.
I am typically a 30F/FF, but I tried this bra based on the measurements. It comes up small, so I would say it runs true to size. I had to wear it with an extender and got quadding.
This bra was obviously much too small when I received it. At that time I was a 32JJ/32K in Panache and the Flirtelle 32JJ was about 2-3 cup sizes too small. The band was like you expect a 32 band to be. The cups had a soft padding, it was not too bulky and felt comfortable. I cannot say much more about it since I never wore it and I am trying to sell it for more than a year.
Very pretty, love the glittery embroidered bit at the cup edge <3
Nice upfront and round appearance, which is impressive for an unpadded bra! It's maybe sliiightly small, but I'm sure a bigger size would give me a less rounded shape. So I'm happy with the size I'm in!
Quite FoT friendly, there's some tiny bulging but no actual quadding. Magic, since there's no stretch lace like in Jasmine or Envy!
Would recommend to anyone who likes unpadded bras but needs some space for upper fullness.
Also have the padded in 30HH - especially in padded Flirtelle bras I usually need to size up. Normally I'm a 30GG/H. This unpadded version of Flirtelle Zara I first tried in 30H, but there were wrinkles in the embroidered part of the cup.
So I sized down to 30GG - apparently I'm in between? On my smaller breast there's still some minor wrinkles, but for the rest this bra is in fact too small ): Quadding on top and boobs won't settle in the bottom.
Still I really like the aesthetics, but I would have greatly preferred stretch lace for a better fit!!
I think I've had this bra for 3 or 4 years... I've never worn it. It didn't fit me 3+ years ago - band and cup size too small. Now, it basically fits, but now I've got higher standards for my bras and won't wear it anyway.
I LOVE the embroidery detailing - super cute teal/lilac flower pattern.
The straps dig into the side of the top of my arms (just above the front of the cup), the underwires are way too wide (not in a way that is actually uncomfortable, but just in a way that I notice now that I've worn bras that have narrower underwires) and, under a shirt, the shirt fabric weighs ever so little on the top of my boobs and this poor little bra is like, "nope!" and droops everything. Reverse elf shoe. Then I'm like, nope! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
I've heard Flirtelle is made by Curvy Kate and this bra looked to be the same cut as my beloved Arizona so I decided to give it a try. Since I found the the band to loosen quickly on my 34HH Arizona I went with 32J for this bra. The bra is the same cut and the band materials look to be the same. It did loosen quickly but the wire under my right breast can be uncomfortable sometimes. That is a problem area for me for I have pain there sometimes so for me I'll stick with 34's in the future. For others you might want to ...size down a band especially if you are in between bands. The padding on this is a nice soft padding the same as Arizona. I also have the CK Daily Dream and that padding is stiffer. I much prefer the softer padding of this bra as it provides a rounder shape and molds to the breast better. The lace at the top of the cup sticks out a little but it is very soft so it lays flat under clothes. I'm not crazy about the look of the lace at the top of the cup. However the bra does give a nice shape under clothes so thats more important. I'm very impressed with my first experience with Flirtelle. I'd say the sizing is consistent with Curvy Kate. These bras are so affordable too even with shipping to the US. I've actually just ordered 3 more Flirtelle padded styles (34HH) that just came out for a great price. The colors and style are more to my liking too. I'm so glad to finally have padded bra options. Read more 180 more words
Bought this in a 30H first, the larger of my go-to sizes of 30GG and 30H, based on my experience with Flirtelle often running small. This model definitely runs small as I needed a 30HH and perhaps I even could get away with a 30J? Pleased with the fit of the 30HH though - not cutting in (FOT friendly), band is nice and snug, straps are not ridiculously wide set. Underwires are a bit wide but don't bother me. Slight orange in a glass - apparently I keep needing more projection :/ The fit under clothing is fine and I do wear this bra a lot.
Anyway, I also have this in purple, see my review on that one too: same size 30HH and while both fit, the purple has MUCH taller cups than this black Ellie. With the scalloped pointy bits on the top of the cups, this means the purple sometimes peeps out from under clothing. All in all I prefer the fit of the black!
Lovely bra, I've been wearing the black a lot. Initially ordered a 30H (also black) but apparently it runs small. Then re bought the same bra in 30HH which fit well. Because I liked it I got the same size 30HH in purple - same brand, model, everything - but this had much taller cups! Difference is quite big (see pictures).
Both bras fit, but I prefer the less full coverage look of the black Ellie. The purple gives me some armpit chafing, too. So for people considering to buy this; keep in mind the black cups are lower than the purple!
About the type of bra or what breasts it would suit - I'm happy the cups are pretty open on top - no cutting in. Good for FOT or even fullness I would say. Wires are perhaps a bit wider than I need, but not uncomfortably so.
This is a good fit for my fob, very close set boobs. It's also quite comfortable. The bra is very pretty and has a lovely red colour. However, the seam between the lace and the other material is very pronounced, and the lace is also quite visible under tight clothing. So not a t-shirt bra, but gives a nice shape, rounded but not super round https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Tried this bra in two sizes, this one was too small. I still could not fill the top of the cup though because it's made for a fob shape and didn't provide enough lift for me to fool the top.
Grabbed this bra in two sizes in a bra giveaway in hope it would work for me. Unfortunately it doesn't provide enough lift for me to fill the upper part of the cup.
