Bra fitting help » (32C) I think I finally found a VS bra that fits...yea or nay?
Victoria's Secret » Body By Victoria Demi Bra (241-206) » 32C 32:3
Issue resolved
OK so...cup size yea, band still nay. Went into Lord and Taylor today (it's right next to VS where I work) on a whim and couldn't find any size 30 bands there either. So unfortunately it looks like I just have a hard-to-find size, but this might be the best I'm gonna do for the time being.
Original problem
The past few times I've requested fit help on here it's been suggested that I a) stop buying VS bras and b) try a non push-up style. Well, it's the holidays, which means 40% off for VS employees, so the former wasn't about to happen. However, despite its marginally less sexy appearance, I think this demi is a pretty awesome bra and seems to fit nicely. Serious question, not trying to be sarcastic here -- do you ladies still think the fit I found at VS is suboptimal?

helpfulProbably the reason people keep telling you to stop buying VS bras is because they don't make your size.
In a brand new bra, you don't want to be using the tightest hook. With a 28" ribcage measurement, you likely should be in a 28 band, but possibly a 30 depending on the cut of the bra.
The cup fit isn't terrible, from the side view though it looks like the band is riding up, and the underwire is a little far forward for my preference, but it's difficult to tell if it's really an issue on the side since it's a molded cup.

That said, this is BY FAR the best fitting bra you have posted here. Do they make a 30D in this bra? Or even a 30DDyou could try! Because there is also a hint of guadboob that is likely to get worse now that you are near the right size. And also I think there might be some scooping to be done.

helpfulI agree with what the others have written - it is too wide on you. Just look at the stretched band measurement of this bra. You aren't that wide.
I agree it is a decent fit in the cup, but you really need a shorter band.
The easiest fix would be to take in the band. I am just afraid that if you do that it will become obvious that the cup is too small.
You already got a hint of quadboob going on, so I think you might need a 30DD.
Get yourself to Nordstrom and try on some 30Ds and 30DDs.

helpfulThe band is definitely too big. Definitely try a 30D (since this looks alright in the cup), and possibly a 30DD. I get that VS bras are often very pretty, but I think it's time to retire the idea that they're the only makers of beautiful bras. I would definitely, if you can, try on some bras with narrow underwires (since it looks like you have a narrow root), like most Freya bras (in which you might even need a 28DD or 28E because they often run so loose), Ewa Michalak (in 65D, 65DD, 70C, or 70D, I don't have their sizes quite down yet), and Comexim (sorry, I can't recommend a size with them).
They even make bras with similarly pretty patterns that give excellent shapes (http://www.ewa-michalak.pl/product-eng-330-PL-Milady.html, http://comexim.pl/plunge/238-selene-biustonosz.html, http://www.figleaves.com/us/product/FRA-AA1254/Freya-Deco-Honey-Underwired-Moulded/?size=&colour=Reds).

helpfulIt looks nice from the front, but the back looks like it's riding up... How much does the band stretch? Can you fit your whole hand under it? Jump up and down; does the bra move?
Personally, big bands drive me nuts because my breasts are really heavy. As the day progresses, my boobs migrate down and the back of the bra migrates up. But I get the impression that this isn't a problem for many people whose breasts aren't melon-sized. >_>
What I mean to say is, if it's comfortable and looks good... You might not want to wear it jogging, but otherwise, what's the problem?

Ah! You're more observant than I. I didn't notice that she had it on the tightest hook. There's nothing *wrong* with wearing it on the tightest hook, per se- but it does mean that the bra won't last as long because it'll get to a point where it's stretched beyond wearability sooner than if you got it with a tighter band.
