Issue resolved
I decided to keep the bra. I ended up cutting the elastic on the lace. Voila, no more quadboob. I think I've been wearing it too low, that's why I have empty space on the bottom. After I pulled it up, it fits nicely. Next time I'm gonna try a G cup.
Original problem
I bought this M&S Limited Collection bra in 30F. The band is tight as hell. I think it suits 26" ribcage. I had to use an extender for a comfortable fit.
Problems after swooping and scooping:
- The centre gore sits on my breasts. Pinching the centre gore doesn't help, either.
- The elastic on the lace part cuts in. You can't really see in the picture, but it's there. I guess if I cut off the elastic, it'll fit better.
- There's a minor gap in the left cup, near the centre gore.
- After swoop-and-scoop, there's an empty space on the bottom of the cup. My Rhea doesn't have this problem though.
- Side spillage...I don't know. The sides of the bra come up high so I don't see any spillage, but looking at the picture, it seems like I have spillage? I'm confused.I'm still going to return this bra, I just need to understand how the cup design works. Help me, please?
p/s: Merry Christmas!

helpfulHere's what I see from your pictures here and your other fitting help requests.
You look truly full on top. So much that you have more upper breast tissue than bottom tissue. Everything remotely close to tight will cut in on your tops. You will be very good off copying the blogger BrasIHate and you're the one that should look perfect in the Masquerade Rhea and CK Showgirl range. Your bras need the most cup depth on the top.
You can see this if you measure cup depth on bottom compared to middle and top.
You will also need to have stretchy upper sections if you ever want more coverage on top. The only full cup bra I'd recommend whole heartedly to you is Panache Andorra but I also agree with Nesoa your Emily help request that you probably would be good off in CK unpadded bras in one or two cup sizes up. I suggest Emily in two cups up and Romance in one cup size down from Emily I think
This bra looks too small all over, but it could also be you are just too full on top for it and your boobs simply has a vertically wider (taller) base. It cuts right into your top and kind of almost cut them off.
If I'm wrong here then I will learn something as well. I just really think you do look like a smaller version of BrasIHate, particularly visible in your CK Emily request http://brasihate.blogspot.com

Yes. You will look good in halfcups and bras close to halfcups so Lucy should be good for you, as I think the other BrasIHate bras will as well; Sienna, Confetti, Harmony, and most Cleo bras should work for you I think :)
Some bras can have their cup depth evenly distributed like Bravissimo halfcups and some can have a significantly shallower bottom than top like the Tease Me. The later bras almost looks a little like upside down triangles from the sides. Sienna and Cleo George is a good example of bras with less volume on bottom. They naturally have their biggest part or apex higher up. The same goes for Rhea, while Bravissimo halfcups are more evenly distributed as is also Andorra.
What you will find however is that most bras are distributed with most volume in the middle. That's what this bra is. You are not having most volume in the middle but on the top so the top prevents you from settling in the bottom I think.
It could also be that the bra is too small also on the bottom but it is very hard to tell with your shape and it's a shape generally misunderstood because most boobs has more bottom or middle depth. Which makes people see those kind of boobs and those kind of fitting issues.
Bra fitting is no science and it's a lot up to individual taste but it's also up to that we are most used to see our own shape.
So could you link some pics where you think the shape looks good but the blogger says it's too small? Then I can see what I think :)
My eyes are not very trained either but I did take this nickname also because I do think bra fitting is a lot up to individual taste. What it all comes down to in the end is how a person feels in her bra, I don't really think there's right or wrong there :)
Which is why I always tries to soften anything I say about bra fitting nowadays and edit a lot of my suggestions cause I realise after I wrote it that "what if I just tell someone I know about her shape and size and I end up being wrong". Then I did no good.
I've been thinking for a lot of time that BrasIHate fitted herself in too small cups til I figured out how her shape worked.
I am a softer version of that shape myself and since I've gotten some bad fitting advise I don't want to do the same to others.
So mostly I think bra fitting is about knowing how to create the result one wants to have :) And finding out how to do that takes a lot of time :)

What Branarchist said :)
I think you should enjoy padded halfcups from CK and Masquerade for all of us fullontops who are outsized in their ranges :) -
Wow so many infos! :)
I may need to find the link of the blogger again, since I'm reading a lot of bra blogs and can't remember which is which!
Aww, Vee! I truly hope that bra companies will expand their ranges even more, for the sake of our future boobs. :D
Thanks you both!

I've found the link! http://undressedtoimpress.wordpress.com/2012/10/25/masquerade-delphi-review/
She said the cups are a little too small for her, but in my eyes they seem to fit fine?? (Also, that bra is bloody gorgeous. Too bad they're expensive as hell. :/)

Hi! :)
http://www.bratabase.com/listings/dhn48/Btw I can see how you may think this fits her - she kind of looks like you in that picture. However, her boobs do not naturally sit that high on chest like yours do. They are actually compressed and pushed up. And even though that bra is certainly wearable, it doesn't encapsulate her breasts like it should. Because the bra is so opened on top there is no cutting in, but from the look of it she could really use a cup up. On the other hand, you will probably look like this even in the right size. But the main difference is your boobs will be held and lifted and hers compressed and pushed up :)
-
You're torturing me, girl! I am currently broke as hell arghhh. I have been eyeing on that listing since forever. :(
ETA: But thank you!!! :)
-
Ahh okay, I understand now. But how did you know that her breasts are compressed?
-
Well I saw how she looked in other bras. She doesn't get that orb look naturally - and she herself states she got marie antoinette cleavage which was through history achieved by corsets which, well, compress to say the least :)
-
I see. Well, thank you for that explanation! :)

helpfulThis is actually an ok fit in the pictures. If you can wear it a little higher that would be better but this bra was not designed to do that. Even if you are able to wear your bra a little higher your cups are a little too small for you, so there's a little push down affect.
the bottom or center part of the bra always need to sit flush to your body and can be on top of any breast tissue. If that's the case that means the bra cups are too small. Even though the cups fit in one part but overall the cups might be too small.
You do not see spillage like other women because you might have firmer breast tissue, but over time, spillage will appear. I see some upper spillage in your back picture, this can be moved back to your bra cups over time. But if you do not want the hassle of doing so, I guess one of the solution is a bit larger band size.
Bra looks nice though.

Does 'need most cup depth on top' means 'cups that are open on top'? Does that mean half cups looks good on me?
Yeay for Panache Andorra and Emily! I've bought them online off ebay and one user here (both in 28FF) and I'm currently waiting for them to arrive. I really hope it fits. Will Cleo Lucy be good for my shape as well?
Can you define how this bra looks too small all over? That's one thing that baffles me. Sometimes I see a picture of a bra blogger that according to my untrained eyes, looks good, but then she'll say it's too small all over. Umm what?? :)
Thank you for your suggestion!
