Didn't fit

I bought Wacoal in a 32 band when I was a 30 band, after finding their bands run small. I went for a 32C (32:3), as my true size according to the ABraThatFits Reddit calculator was 30D-DD (30:4, 30:5). That calculator, as well as this one, now places me at a 32DD-E (32:5, 32:6). This was / is my every day bra, however the cup shape is shallow. I recently learned I am actually projected (90° lean test) - horizontal perimeter is about 7.75" but I appear pretty flat and Full on Bottom when standing. My breast relative to my nipple is technically VERY slightly Full on Top. So pretty much "even" from top to bottom of the breast. It's important to know the shape of your roots (both vertically and horizontally), which you can find out through the lean test. I believe myself to have tall, narrow roots, with some distance in the middle (maybe a bit more than average?). My BREASTS are wide though, when unsupported. I've been buying wide shallow bras when I should probably be buying narrow projected bras. It fits mostly okay, the first time I scoop & swoop I have some quadding on the bigger side (left). That boob is maybe half a cup size bigger than the right? But as time passes, it turns into gapping at the top. Not so bad you can see nipple when leaning, which was a problem that plagued me in my teen years (buying 32A-34B T-shirt bras). The cup of this bra is a bit open on top for me, I think. My breasts are also short from top to bottom, I prefer a cup height of 5" - 5.6" so that my breasts aren't fully enclosed, but I also believe a taller cup will lead to strap gap and regular gapping. I think my breasts are kind of pushing the bra away and also spreading out inside them, leading the underwire to sit on breast tissue. My breasts have extremely soft tissue so they kind of go into whatever shape they're pushed into, which is why I thought this one fit. (Edited -previously measured horizontal perimeter as 9", but I'm more between 7.5" - 8". Could have had some swelling that day, or misinterpreted the measuring directions. It may be helpful to measure during different points in your cycle to see if you'll need a different size for water retention / swelling, and also measure several times for accuracy.)
