Used to fit

I custom ordered this Garden bra as a BM after owning it as an SF cut. I’m in love with the colors and print. I just get a better fit in the BM cut than I do the SF cut.
The lower bra cup consists of the silky printed fabric on the out cup with a non stretch white mesh on the inner cup. The upper cup is a lovely more muted purple stretch fine mesh. The backband is the same lovely printed fabric all the way around, with a tighter weave white stretch lining. There is a rich purple 2x4 closure. The elastic along the top of the band and bottom of the band is a dark rich shade of purple. The straps are a vibrant rich purple color with a slight sheen to it. All hardware is white. There are vibrant purple bows where the straps meet the cup as well as on the canter gore.
I’m beyond happy with the fit of this bra and so thankful they made it for me. I’m also extremely happy it fit considering this is a custom order and non returnable.

Oof! That is stunning, design- and fit-wise. Congrats!

Beautiful! I always loved the "garden" bra.

Oh man now I want one. Love this print but the SF just isn’t right on me, I’m a BM girl!

  • bustyand Thank you.
Wilderness1 It’s such a pretty print. And I have floral print. But this just has a delicate water color print about it.
confused Doooo it! I have three SF, one fits a little more forgiving in the cup. The other two I have, the Garden SF included, just fits slightly off for me. It fits, but it’s as if the apex of the cup is ever so slightly lower than the BM cut. It just fits me better. I’m definitely a BM girl. In fact, if I see any future SF prints, I’ll just ask if they can make a BM for me.

  • My only BM complaint is in my current size (80E) the straps are so wide set the light show on the armholes of many of my tank top dresses ☹️ So I can only wear them when I’m wearing sleeves. When I was wearing my 80DDs this was less of an issue. Maybe I should try 85DD and see if strap placement is better 🤨

  • confused I’ve given up on tank tops. I’ve switched to more of a “festival tank” style if I don’t want my straps showing. Other than that, I’ll let them hang out. I usually have on a grey or black tank. So the pop of color I don’t mind.

This is such a beautiful design and looks great on you!

  • I have a wardrobe of gorgeous, flattering dresses from Anthropologie that I live in for work, about half of them are tank top cut. In the winter it’s not a problem, but summers are routinely 95+ degrees and I work with kiddos and can’t have undergarments showing per school dress codes. 🤦🏼‍♀️

confused 1. boo for dress code! 2. something I used to do when I was in k-12 was safety pin parts of my bra to my shirt/dress. Don't know if that's something you're interested/would work for you, but it might present a solution.

  • It might! It’s really in the armpit/tail of Spence area where the dress scoops inward and the bra strap is wide set though, so maybe not...

Want! I adore this print and the BM looks amazing on your shape (lucky!). I got my first SF's in 2 different sizes & love the shape. Gladys was soft and silky but small, & the Nibynic was the right size but the more thick/rigid material cut into my underarm (because wide EM straps, apparently). Would you say the Garden fabric runs to the softer, thinner end of the spectrum or more towards the thicker, more solid & rigid side of things?

confused another option for the visible bra straps might be sewing small tabs with a snap closure to hold them in place. Like so: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2U56wr9t6bw . I feel you on the the underarm reveal, tho. If you've got some slack in that area or the bust, a good tailor might be able to tighten it. That's a hard one. Good luck!

CAGirlGoingPolish I’d say it’s a little more ridged, with less give in the fabric than Nibynic, but I feel the fabric is still soft and silky and still feels lightweight. My SF Szaron has the thickest and stiffest fabric out of all my EM bras.

Happy2BraShop Oh wow! Thank you so much. That's really useful information for me. So hard to tell what a fabric will feel like by just looking!

  • 1

CAGirlGoingPolish I know right!? I’m the type of person who likes to feel the clothing before I buy. Especially if I think it might be itchy lol. Thankful all the bras I’ve gotten from EM have been soft and comfortable. Sometimes a little stiff, but they always relax after a few wears. With Garden, I think due to the nature of the fabric it can show more ripples here n there in the fabric, but nothing that takes away from the over all fit and look of it. I have the matching panties, and they’re also really lovely in this fabric.

  • I'm glad to know they do soften up. Apart from being "blessed" with boobs that don't play well with most bras, I have the additional joy of having super sensitive skin. lol

Happy2BraShop I had to come and check this out since you mentioned it in your last review and omg I love the garden as a BM!

damaries It’s one of my favorites hands down. I happen to see the other review for this bra as a BM and I just had to have one. I originally got the Garden as an SF, but it just doesn’t work. I was happy I got this made. Was well worth the extra money.

  • Happy2BraShop I think I am going to have to do this! I love love love this bra!
