Natori Cherry Blossom is a newer take on the classic Natori Feathers Plunge, and while this bra shares a similar cut, there are some features unique to Cherry Blossom that made it worthwhile for me to try despite Feathers Plunge not working out for me.

The bra has a lightly molded foam cup that is soft, flexible, and comfortable, overlaid with open mesh and a floral design. This style has a convertible J hook option to allow the bra to be worn as a racerback. Since Feathers Plunge was far too small for me in a 30D and I had tried this style in a 30D in store and had the same issue with the shallowness of the cup, I decided to order a 30DD to try.

30DD in Cherry Blossom does fit me better than Feathers Plunge, and the cups here are close to fitting. However, the cups are slightly too wide for me near the underarms, so I can feel a bit of empty space between the underwire and my body. It's not much though, and the soft mesh overlay means that the cups sit nicely on me and fit along the root.

The main problem in this bra though is that it is not designed for petite wearers. Because this is a high apex style, the lace overlay of the cup extends a good 5" higher than the foam cup, thus shortening the available strap length by at least this much. I had to shorten the straps completely in order to get this bra to fit, which meant the J hook converter ended up in the front of the bra on me. This completely defeats the purpose of this feature, so only people with a torso size in a certain range could take advantage of the J hook feature. Also, going up in size from 30D to 30DD means that the outer portion of the cups under the arms tends to come up too high on me and chafe.

The one positive note regarding this bra is that the band, though appearing to be made out of the same flimsy lace as all Natori bras, actually feels decently firm and supportive. It's not the most secure band I've ever tried, but it certainly doesn't ride up and move around like many other ones from the line.

This is pretty close to fitting, yet the comfort issues make this not a suitable bra for petite wearers of my size. Still, I can see this bra working for others, and would definitely recommend it over the Feathers Plunge. Just be wary of the "nude" option-- the color "Cafe" is a greyish nude that comes off kind of dead looking. There are better nude shades out there.

Cups are a little too wide, with emptiness along the underwire. Cups are very shallow and don't provide much projection. Underwire runs too high under the arms, and sides run too high under the arms. Straps adjust short enough but then cannot be used as convertible bra as J hook is at the front of the straps. Underwires dig in and are painful and stiff.

Underwire length:
Runs too high under the arm, it pokes
Straps adjustment:
Straps don't adjust short enough
Cup's width:
There is empty fabric on the sides (Cup too wide)
