This was my first attempt at Anna Pardal and I couldn't be happier with it! Honestly, I was on the verge of tears of joy! I have tried SO MANY Polish bras in the past few months... While I can say for sure that I am absolutely in love with them and they are so much better for me than any UK brand, I am a complicated fit and nothing was really what I could call perfect for me. Until this one! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This bra is from Anna Pardal's new line. I know it isn't up on AP's site yet. However, Lady Gray and a few others are available for order already through the lovely Erica over at A Sophisticated Pair! She's a doll and I highly suggest her! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Pictures of the upcoming/partially here(?) line can be found on AP's instagram!

I decided to order my usual Comexim size with all my usual alterations. So a 65M (UK 30J) with reduced cup and lowered gore. This was my first order that I also requested the straps to be moved in. My Comexims have all been a bit on the tighter side recently and while I have considered sizing up, I just wasn't ready to try it yet. Particularly because the wires of my 65Ms have been too wide for me still. I figured sliiightly too small is better than even wider wires!

When I pulled this bra out of the box, it was the first time I didn't think it looked way too tall for me! Even with the reduced cups, most of my Comexims are still too tall because of how high set I am. This one looked perfectly petite! When comparing the upper portion of the 3-part cup to my Comexim Mint and Wellfitting by Comexim Abracadabra Longline, I noticed it seems significantly more reduced. These other bras have also given me problems with where they run through the armpit area. Abracadabra is fully attacking my pits whereas Mint seems to need just a slightly deeper cut (or less height might solve this as well!). Lady Gray doesn't even come close to rubbing in the armpit area! And the wires?! They are SO much better for me! I could use a bit smaller even. But these are perfectly acceptable to me and create a far better fit! I believe they measured at 6" where most of my Comexims are 6.25" and my EMs 6.5"!

The cups seem to be pretty accommodating, more so than my other 65Ms. It is the same depth yet seems to fit much better! I don't get any quad and not much boobie coming out the top either like my others do to me! I surprisingly sit fully into the bottom of the cup too! I am actually glad I didn't size up in this one, though I could and would likely be fine. I really do feel like this bra is just PERFECT in so many ways!

I had heard AP's bands tend to run a little tighter and have a little less give than the Comexim bands. That is very true IMO as well! I would prefer a 60 in Comexim bands but I would NOT want a 60 in AP! The gore causes me no pain and I hardly even realize it is there! I have a very boney sternum and close set boobies so I struggle with almost any gore. Thankfully because I have very little natural breast tissue, I don't seem to really need much of one anyways. I was shocked to find that it even tacks too! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> The straps alteration also seemed to have worked wonders for me. I have narrow and sloping shoulders and always pull my straps in like this / \ but always having to readjust and fuss with them makes me crazy. These sit perfectly where I want them and they stay there too! However, I had problems adjusting one of the straps at first! It was really stuck! That seems to be a problem I have been having lately though, so maybe its user error https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

As for AP being more high quality materials than Comexim, YES YES YES! Oh my I am so in love with how amazing it all looks and feels. I wish I could put it into words better! Don't get me wrong, I love my Comexims and think they are great quality as well. But these are beyond great! The bra is gorgeous, so soft and smooth, and I don't even feel like I am wearing anything! The outer material is a beautiful soft peach with a deep, dark gray as the accent color. All along the extremely smooth, yet almost shiny looking peach material, is a pattern that I'd probably describe as French-looking haha. I am not so good as describing and comparing things sorry https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> The deep gray accent color is used for the straps, the connector area for the band, the bows, and a strip along the top edge of the cups. I would never think to put these colors together but WOW they are so gorgeous and sophisticated together! I do not think the strip along the top of the cup is very restricting like in the Comexim Irish Coffee or Brigitte though. I felt as though those bras were extra closed off on top due to their ribbon accenting, but that really doesnt NOT seem to be the case with AP Lady Gray!

Overall, I am so ecstatic! To finally have a bra that fits this well makes me happier than ever! But now I have awoken the monster! I MUST HAVE MORE ANNA PARDAL'S! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />

Oh, also the undies! I ordered them in a Medium. I fall into Small on the sizing chart but I tried Comexim Smalls previously and felt they cut in a bit too much on the sides. While I am not the biggest fan of Polish undies (they come up too high, tend to ride up, and cut in at the hips), these are gorgeous! I thought I had ordered the thong but now that I think about it maybe I just said matching panty. My receipt says bikini which typically I'd hate! But they are a bit more like booty shorts on me so that makes me happy. I would have preferred to size down to a Small though. These were a bit loose in the **im sorry** booty crack area. I actually wondered if they were cut wrong at first! They are mostly a sheer dark gray material all around but have the matching peach material in the very front and a triangle of it at the back as well. They also have the same ribbon stripping from the bra along the edges of the peach material in the front and finished off with the cute little bows on top. Overall they are adorable and show just enough cheek to make me happy! Although since they are a bit big, I think AP panties fit a little more TTS than Comexims!

Oh that's pretty. I'm a sucker for gray. It's also a spectacular fit, looks like it was sewn on your chest!

  • This is so gorgeous! Your photos are even better than theirs! Congrats on finding a great bra for you. Any updates now that you're 1 month in with it? Thanks for posting.

Thank you! :) I was happy to get photos up as soon as i got it because it was so hard to tell what itd look like from their instagram preview of it (which was all there was to show of it when i first ordered). Its such a unique bra, i love it :) As far as an update, the ribbon edge is slightly more constricting than i first thought! It does actually cause it to be a little more closed off along the edge! At this point it is too small for me :( I cant really swoop and scoop or i quad. But honestly, i couldnt care less! :D It is too beautiful and still one of the most comfy bras ive ever put on! So i just am sure to wear it under something where a little bit of quad wont matter so much :)

What a beauty! I'm looking at the new AP bras in Lady Jane too, and wanted to ask you which style this is...the plunge? nuance plunge? Like you, I'm pretty high-set and narrow, which is a nightmare in the bra world. Thanks so much for sharing this!

  • gogobee, some people have had luck gently stretching the top edges of cups that were slightly too closed off.

  • CAGirlGoingPolish I actually bought this bra before the new line and new styles were rolled out! So this is just the regular plunge with reduced cup, lowered gore, and the straps moved in 2 cm. It seems like the Nuance plunge likely has those same changes in a G cup and up. However, I recently spoke to Anna and she thought the Sophisticate might be a really good match for me based on my experiences and the alterations i typically request. So i have one of those being made right now! Hopefully soon I should be able to give a little insight on that one too at least! :) High set and narrow has definitely been a big problem for me! But AP and Comexim have been major game changers for me! They are so willing to make whatever is perfect for you :)

learningaboutbras Thank you for the suggestion! :) I will give that a shot! I think its just too small overall lately but the closed off edge does play into that too!
